Im actually really pissed about Redd being out for the year. Great play and a great person, whose gonna lose out on his chance to be in the playoffs this year.
But all Bucks fans now think its definite that RJ will be traded, and I read a few of their message board things, and nearly all think Cleveland is the most likely destination, saying either Wally for RJ straight up or adding in a 1st round pick would be decent deals for them.
To me, the idea of Jefferson is pretty similar to Gerald Wallace. Both are SFs really, who can both play the 2 and 4 efficiently as well.
Jefferson is a pretty solid defender, has always been around average from outside but is shooting close to 40% from 3 this year, very strong going to the hole, average ball handler, decent rebounder, seems to have a great attitude and definitely wouldnt mind being a 2nd or 3rd option. Contract runs through to 2011 I think, but hes only 28 and seems to be improving every year.
The only problem I see is if he could start at the 2 or if hed have to come off the bench like Gerald Wallace probably would. I think Wallace would definitely accept a Manu Ginobili role, but I dunno about Jefferson. He seems to have a winning attitude but Im not sure if hed accept a limited role or not.
One things sure though, Jefferson's value is petty damn low right now and will be traded strictly for expiring contracts, and hes not even playing badly at all. So if we're looking for an impact player who won't cost much, this could be the answer.
