Rising Stars All Star Games - 9:00 PM EST, 9:30 PM EST, and the playoff

Rising Star games are on in a few minutes. Maybe I'm just starved for Cavs basketball, but I plan to watch them.

Team Jason

The team of NBA G League players will be led by 2008-09 Kia NBA Sixth Man of the Year and 2011 NBA champion Jason Terry, a current Utah Jazz assistant coach and former coach of the NBA G League’s Grand Rapids Gold. The G League players include:

• Scoot Henderson (G League Ignite)
• Mojave King (G League Ignite)
• Kenneth Lofton Jr. (Memphis Hustle)
• Mac McClung (Delaware Blue Coats)
• Leonard Miller (G League Ignite)
• Scotty Pippen Jr. (South Bay Lakers)

Predictions: Team Joachim and Team Pau will meet in the championship game. Team Joachim seems defense oriented and Team Pau seems offense oriented. I'll bet on Mobley's team all the way.

Tipoff between Team Pau and Team Deron. With Banchero, Mathurin, Barnes, and Alverado, I expect Pau to win.

Very helter-skelter play, not much defense. Pau up 13-12.

I'll be curious to see how Mobley plays in such an environment. A lot of one-on-one and turnovers.

Pau up 30-21 with one more FT coming. They're rebounding better, going inside better, and fast-breaking better.

The other team seems to be one-on-one and 3s only.

I don't know anything about the G League team, other than Mac McClung, famed for his dunking and occasional 3 ball.

I do know they don't have Mobley. That should be enough.

Will Mobley have more dunks or blocks in this game? Dunks, I think.

Okay, Team Mobley up 15-9. Mobley with 2 dunks and a 6 footer for 6 points leads the scoring.

The G-League is just taking jumpers.

These guys on Mobleys team are horrendous. He’s missed 2 shots since I’ve been watching but you can tell none of these other players have played a lick of meaningful basketball. It’s a game for fun but just saying

Lots of turnovers by Team Mobley. They're trying to get it to Mobley, but really miss Giddey when he's out. A lot of bad passes, turnovers and missed shots.

He looks like he might get picked in a rec league. You never know--sometimes those fat guys have game.

I don't know why he's in this game though.

He has a better shot at playing CF for the Guardians than he does making an impact in the NBA.

Team Joachim wins. Grimes with 13, Mobley with 8-2-2 2 blocks 2 steals, and Giddey 3-3-6. He led the team with +20. Joachim never took out Mobley.

The team's pretty good with Giddey, Grimes, Sochan, and Mobley.Giddey caused 4 turnovers. Tari Eason 2, and Sochan 2. They'll have to reduce those to beat team Pau.

It'll be fun to see Mobley against Banchero.
