Rising Stars All Star Games - 9:00 PM EST, 9:30 PM EST, and the playoff

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Really wish there were some actually reporters with balls at these games, that was a horrible showing even for NBA allstar games, when asked how to make the game more competitive some players saying stuff like “financial incentive” like bitch for real is the 40mil you make a year not enough incentive to give something back to the fans and play an entertaining game where you at least PRETEND to play defence? 90% of the game was just 1v1 iso with the other 8 dudes walking with their hands on their hips, disgraceful. Only watched it cause of my nephew and even his 7 year old brain couldn’t be bothered by halftime.

This generation of hoopers are disgusting. Haarlem Globetrotter games are more entertaining and competitive

Just disgusting….

I have a simple solution. The winner of each quarter of the game gets 1/4 of the pay the All Stars get. If you lose all four quarters, you get no pay. If you win all four quarters, you win all the pay. This includes the coaches.

Turn it back into a middle school game, with league executives and coaches playing.
This just stirred up a memory of a time I played in the high school student vs faculty game during senior year pep rally.

Had the ball on a fast break, teacher to my left trying to backpedal to the middle. I had them beat. My right hand was free for an easy shot. Nothing but the hoop in front of me, no trailing defenders, no teammates running with me. There was a problem though: This amped me to the point of no return. Was way too eager and leapt well outside my layup range. It wasn't until gravity took hold and I was on the way back down until I realized this.

Ended up shooting a weird ass runner that hit bottom rim. My momentum took me away from making a play for the offensive board. It was easy to tune out the school's reaction, I already knew. Goodness... I already knew. The entire sequence amped me up for the next possession, but thankfully in a more grounded way. I helped get a stop, got the board, but didn't take another shot that game because the bench called my name soon after. :chuckle:

Led to some good off glass practice.

In any case... I'm all for seeing moments like the above in such a gimmick game. Would love to see Danny Ainge get cooked.

I was always afraid of hurting the teachers since I was a bigger kid compared to the rest. I remember we had a soccer game, ended up accidentally taking a teacher out. Luckily they understood it wasn't on purpose lmao.

Never hit a 3 in a game as a kid. Spent time working on my jumper as I’ve gotten older.

First faculty student game of my life as the brand new assistant principal at a different school, I went 4 of 5 from deep last year and you already know I was doing the Melo after each one.

I look forward to probably getting dunked on this year as penance.
