It was understandable to hold him out even if they didn't think it was anything. An Achilles tear is basically a slow end to a NBA career. No one ever comes back the same.

I'm quite confident we should have looked good against them with or without Hood.

I don't think so, he is too talented to keep off our playoff rotation. Outside of LeBron and Love, Hood and Clarkson are the two guys that will most consistently score in double digits. Korver and JR are real hot or cold players.

With Hood when he goes cold it's not as bad as Korver or JR. Same can go for when he is hot, his hot is not the same as Korver, JR, or even Clarkson. Those guys can change the game in minutes. You need some consistent scorers. Clarkson will get his 14 point but he has the ball in his hands with the second unit enough that his 14 points can be real effective or real ugly.

I thought he played decent defense on Oladipo. His two turnovers from dribbling is prime example why you don't just decide to put the ball into a guys hands in the playoffs, its something you should iron out in the regular season.
