I've not really watched the Tribe that much yet. Hard to get into baseball while basketball is still going on.
But, I am not sure why people are that down on this team TBH.
Nearly every one of our pitchers are having down years with the exception of Carrasco. And he got shelled today, it happens...
But I'd have to think, they'll start pitching better. Even if we're not crazy about the Tomlin's, Bauer's, and Salazar's of the world. These guys are pitching much worse than their career marks, and I can't think that trend will continue with all three.
I didn't even mention Kluber. We got to think he'll eventually hit his groove. He's always been a slow starter.
But Clevinger looks solid. We probably could use another starting pitcher around the deadline, but we'll see how it shapes up.
We have seen some very promising young players that are showing themselves.
Guys like EE and Kip are having very slow starts and I can't think that will continue. EE is already starting to break out of it.
Our bullpen looks really good.
I don't think this team has come close to hitting its peak, and the fact they're still over .500 is encouraging, not discouraging to me.
Maybe they won't all pan out the ones that are struggling, but if some of these guys start going back towards their career production, this team can get on a roll.
