IIRC, his SS year, his bat came through parallel to the ground. Every swing now, the bat head is down below his hands. This was my issue when I played; my swing inched closer and closer to golfing at the ball.

Though he is mostly right since Gomes first HR the ball was at his ankle. He hits the low ball better than any left hander, but struggles with the higher pitch, but at least he is starting to stay on the ball better of late. Aka 4-7 with a sac bunt and only 1 SO. Still got a lot to work on, but as least he is getting the bat on the ball.
