Series Six - Kansas City Royals vs. Cleveland Indians - April 18, 19, 20, 21

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Come on guys yes it was a tough loss but there is plenty of ball to play. We will get them tomorrow in Minnessotta. Fausto will show that he is our stopper. We can't get too over excited over one loss everytime. Just gotta move on and take 2 out of 3 over the weekend,

Let people vent ... the blown save is always a tough way to lose a ballgame after investing 3 hours into it. If we'd just lost conventionally I probably wouldn't even be mad as I said I'd be happy with a split. KC is for real.

Umps were against us this whole series. Game should of been called in the 7th when all that rain started pouring. Nope. Can't FUCKING have that, can we?

This game was even worse than a simple blown save in my mind. We blew many chances to extend the lead with poor coaching. Nothing pisses me off more than bad coaching decisions. I can live with the occassional blown save and even an error, or a strikeout with runners on base, but bad coaching? Can't live with that. I need to hit someone.

Chris Perez: Fucking Joke...

I base my emotions on what Jigo feels about the tribe.

coaches are getting way too carried away with sending the runners to home, santana was thrown out easily and i cant remeber who but a few games ago someone was thrown out at home on a simple single to LEFT field, what a joke

Maybe 3B coach Steve Smith still thinks he's on the Amazing Race the way he's sending runners home. Not everything needs to be done within a time limit in baseball, Steve.

Perez sucked but this game was lost in the 8th by bad coaching/management. First off, in the 7th and no outs and a runner on first. Why the hell didn't we bunt with Everett? Fuck that shit.

Second; Santana on second base in the 8th and one out. Hafner smokes a line drive single to center that gets to the CF'er in about one fucking second. Why the hell are we sending Santana? He was out by 15 feet. The bases could have been loaded with one out if he had stayed on third. Bullshit.

Third, Tomlin had about 90 pitches. Why the hell do we take him out just because someone is on second base? He was cruising right along and never really had a stressful inning at all to that point. Bullshit.

There's three coaching decisions that sucked. Yeah, Perez blew turds but we fucking blew this game way before Perez came in.

Instead of 3 games ahead we are one game ahead. Bullshit.

I'd be tee-totally pissed off if I were Josh Tomlin. GREAT GAME Josh!

The coaching has been question at best in this series. Acta and the 3B coach have really pissed me off. I couldn't believe he pulled Tomlin. Made no sense.

We really could have and should have swept them.

Oh well, even Superman has to take his cape off from time to time.

Did any of our EXPERT reporters or the beat guy Hoynes actually ask Acta WHY THE FUCK did you pull Tomlin?

KC was getting owned by the slow curve ball that dropped down from the sky, by off speed pitches, and by the power of the Tomlin fastball clocked at 88 MPH. They couldn't see the fire behind his ball.

We pull Tomlin and stick in totally different pitchers from him. Sipp, Pescano and Perez are way different. KC proceeds to own them.

The decisions made in this game didn't make sense. Smith sending Santana with one out on a Pronk laser beam hit directly to the CF'er didn't make sense. Not bunting with Everett in the 7th inning and Hannahan on first with ZERO outs did NOT make sense.

In the 8th I was thinking that Tomlin could finish the game and pitch a shutout. It was an easy game for him. No stress. No worries. KC could not line up bats to the ball. At. All. I screamed at Acta when he pulled him. He didn't hear me.

I'm not over this loss.

Why the hell did Acta keep Tomlin in???? He had pitched such a nice game, and the bullpen has been lights out this year, especially Sipp and Perez. What is he thinking?????

That's a post you would have seen had Acta left Tomlin in and it wouldn't have worked out.

Listen, if Acta had left Tomlin in, people would be complaining that he left him in too long instead of going to the bullpen. Nobody knows Tomlin better than Acta and Belcher. There are 1,000 different reasons they could have had for pulling him, and they took him out when they thought it was right. The bullpen just couldn't hold it tonight...first time in 19 games...I'll take that.

Tomlin had another good outing, Grady keeps hitting, and we split with a team that's playing very good baseball right now...I wanted that one last one (I want them all) and was swearing at my TV too, but we're in a good spot. Time to take at least 2/3 against Minnesota and hope Texas' offense bashes the Royals. GO TRIBE!!!!!!!!!

I am sure some idiots would have complained either way, but as soon as he pulled Tomlin, I said it was stupid. I'm sure many others did as well. It's not like we waited until the BP blew it and then said we didn't like that decision. It was stupid IMO. That's all I can say. The guy was dominating. He gave up ONE freakin base runner and he got pulled. Stupid.

That's fine if that's what your opinion was. I don't think him going to a bullpen that has been dominant all year wasn't a bad move, it just didn't work out. Again, he and Belcher know Tomlin better than anyone...I'll trust their judgment on it.

Acta's bullpen has been dominant too. Sipp, a lefty, came into face Cabrera, a switch hitter who hits better left-handed, and Alex Gordon, a lefty. It was very smart for Acta to play the matchups with his, to date, absolutely dominant lefthanded setup guy. Sometimes smart moves don't work out. That doesn't mean they weren't smart.
