So Long Jordan Clarkson ( aka Chucky McJumperson)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Jordan Clarkson was #2 in bench scoring. It's remarkable on what's going on with him.

He was number 2 in bench scoring for a bad team that hasn't played in an important game that the OTHER TEAM cares about in his entire time in the league. You can get away with the shit he does against the Suns and Magic of the world but not to teams who actually care about winning. He's sucked for the Lakers but not before the idiot half of Buss family gave him a contract because he has a skillset that looked promising as a young player but he's no longer young and his basketball brain never grew past AAU ball stage. They've been wanting to dump him since the new management came on board

The trade was about getting Nance but what's the point of that if he's hurt or Lue can't figure out how to use him

Peole keep forgetting that while Drew was coaching Jordan was playing really well and closing games for us.

I like Lue's adjustments in the playoffs, but again, he should prob be our head assistant. His inability to get regular production even from average guys hurts the team a lot. It's great the older guys have been playing well, but his ability to give young guys confidence is really terrible from all indications.

People also forget that teams take time to gameplan and he's been given every damn oppurtunity to succeed both with the Lakers and Cavs. He lucked into a team with Hill whose been hurt, old man legs calderon, and a rookie Cedi. He sucks plain and simple. And no blaming Lue for this IMO: Lue has played with him as PG and at SG but it just doesn't work. Good wings just abuse him (ala Tatum) yesterday as he doesn't have the size to defend the 2 and as a PG he's just plain stupid. Lue has also stuck with him which is making me want to stab my eyes out thru 3 freakin playoff series now. I mean how does a coach even supposed to realize that he has to tell the backup PG who never posts up not to try post up by using an entire clock in a critical close playoff game against the other teams backup who is just as big as you are?

Just because he puts up so many damn shots statistically he's bound to have a good game but it's fool's gold: playoff teams aren't worried about the guy and are breathing a sigh of relief every time he misses one of our shooters on the wing as he tried to be mini-Mamba. Can't wait till his contract becomes trade bait next off season

Soundly disagree.

Nance looked liked he was well worth it until he got hurt, and Lue finds a way to continue to wreck our bench rotation. Clarkson could be good if he was paired with vets, but pairing him with Hood is the worst case scenario.

Moronic coaching makes it impossible to truly value our players.
Funny part is let us trade him to the Spurs for a second rounder and watch he wins 6th man of the year lol

At some point we gotta admit that our system is what’s making these players suck.

If your skillset doesn’t directly cater to LeBron Lue doesn’t know how to use you.
It’s not a surprise the only guys getting consistent open looks are the 3pt shooters. LeBron wants no part in a team that doesn’t truly NEED him. If you believe otherwise then you simply ain’t been paying attention to him since he’s come back to Cleveland. That shit didn’t work with Pat Riley and it irked him. He came back to control the Cavs not to have a great hero story

I refuse to believe this roster is bottom 3 all time to make ECF. We have too many good players. What i do believe is that we have a lot of low IQ players and we have the worst coach in the NBA. If it isn’t a LeBron drive and kick action then he doesn’t know how to use you as a player

I don't think I've ever seen Clarkson make two layups in a game. He has to be the worst pg in the game. There has to be someone in the D-League who can be a better fit for this team.

He is horrible, Chucker genes, enough talent there to be a good player but he has no interest in anything other than getting his shot. Osman has more intelligence in his nipple hairs than Clarkson has shown in his entire career.

I bet every player on the Cavs not named LeBron low key dislike this dude. He hit one shot, the rest of the team can forget about it. Just gone back on D.

Oh for sure and that is not hyperbole or a one game overreaction. Anyone who has ever played pickup knows how demoralizing having a guy like JC on your team is...especially when he sucks too. Even poor Rodney refuses to check into a game when he sees Clarkson out there

Just baffles me how this kid can never go left. Constantly goes right every time and his defenders consistently anticipate it.

He needs to develop a left hand ASAP or I can see him out the league quickly. He certainly needs more developing.

JC isn't even scratching prime Manny Harris numbers this Playoff run up to this point... :chuckle:

Man, if only...

A) The tunnel vision wasn't real
B) He could provide efficient or even just solid scoring from the bench without being ball dominant/high volume
C) Defense?
D) Was out of the rotation (we've seen that occasionally, but he's replaced with Hood who has had his own issues)

I've just about seen enough of Hood+Clarkson these playoffs, but there's still that "what if" factor. Unfortunately, there really isn't much time to spare to keep waiting for that hypothetical.

As for positives, I can say that at least he keeps the man that's guarding him somewhat busy, because he knows JC is about to either drive or pull. But man, how easy is it for the help defense?

I'm just sitting here hoping for the best. Hopefully it includes some of these guys breaking through. But, come on, man!
