So Long, Mo Gotti Williams

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Anybody hear if Mo will be there Tuesday to get his ring?
Might get a mixed reception.

NOW how do you feel about piling all his stuff in a bag and burning it??

That it's still most likely bullshit...can't see this group being that childish.

That's pretty much how I felt when I heard that "veterans complaining about playing time" in the Golden State Xmas day loss. Funny how they're related.

I haven't worked in a lot of offices, but many of them had an issue with whining malingerers who don't do much work.

Complaining about PT is much different than literally lighting someones shit on fire...complaining about PT has been a staple in sports for like 30+ years.

I'm going to trust some of RCF's connected people and continue to view this story as BS.

Mo has a right to keep playing. They gave him the contract he has. Hell, James Jones hangs on, why can't Mo? I'd just like him to, you know, inform the team one way or the other.

I think you missed what Mo actually did.

He is mad at the team, so he did this on purpose, says the team doesnt care about his health.

So Mo says he is going to retire, someone in the organization tries to talk Mo out of it. If he retires we could have negotiated a buy out, or use the stretch provision, either way its a small hit to the cap and tax bill.

Mo gets angered we tried to get him to keep playing, or for some reason. He says he is coming back. He then waits past the stretch provision day, and until the first day of camp to inform the Cavs he is not playing.

But, Mo doesn't retire. He then has surgery which was recommended by his 3rd doctor, partially why Mo is pissed, our doctor had a different recommendation. No big deal right? wrong.

Mo is out for the season with a knee issue, but he will now remain on the roster since he refuses to retire. It is his money, correct, but there was a more professional way to handle this and still get paid.

Basically Mo decided to retire in the most unprofessional way possible that fucks the team and teammates that got him a ring. Really a complete piece of shit move.

It doesn't appear like Mo cares that he got one. I remember Lue said he's the one that approached Mo when Mo was considering knee surgery during the playoffs. Lue asked Mo if he could rely on him. Mo said yes. So Lue took him at his word.

I agree. And feel Mo's being a piece of shit

Not surprising at all

Biggest piece of shit in the league

Only plays for the love of money

I am not sure that is true. He gave up money to come here. Maybe he did that thinking he had one more semi big contract then the knee issue happened and he got pissed?

Maybe he is bi-polar?

Just cant figure out Mo or his motivations to be honest.

And PS, i get playing for money, you have a 10 year window to make all the money you need for the rest of your life, these players should care about the money, but there is no reason to fuck a team and your teammates over it, you can figure these things out.

I believe if he medically retired he would have gotten this years salary and not count against the Cavs, yet another option I didnt mention, just seems like he could have done this the right way several different times and he chose to not to.

Are we even sure Mo has no intentions of playing again? How long of a recovery time is knee bone spurs? I remember reading that bone spurs for K'waun Williams ankle surgery was a 6-8 week recovery time. Oddly K'waun's and Mo's situations are real similar in terms of how they have played out with the team/medical staff.
