Space, the final frontier (NASA going back to the Moon)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Launch in less than 4 hours.

NASA feed (countdown clock here is a few minutes fast, must be a hold scheduled in there or something)

Feed with more commentary (and has the countdown to the actual launch)

I leave the sound to both on and mute the second one when NASA has someone talking. Tim (the guy on the second one) stops talking when NASA says something, but they aren't 100% in sync. His YouTube is worth following if you're into rockets. He covers all kinds of launches and does other rocket related videos.

So far they had a hydrogen leak, send a red team (who wears blue) to fix it. Fix worked, still on schedule. Except a radar went down, turned out to be a bad Ethernet switch, which is being replaced now.

Successful 25 day Atemis-1 mission completed today as Orion splashed down in the pacific.

The mission itself was successful, the side mission of cubesats failed.

Manned Artemis-2 mission planned for for 2024.

Meanwhile early this morning SpaceX launched a moon lander for Japan.

The next step in returning to the moon is a successful Starship + Superheavy launch, the most powerful rocket launch ever. SpaceX is attempting that for the first time this morning

Launch attempt planned for 9am eastern time. Live stream starts here at 8:15

animation of flight path here. Don't be surprised if something blows up.

Much more detailed animation. They aren't catching the booster or launching satellites, though.
