Will Jar Jar Binks be in this new Trek Wars movie?
But at least an old friend shows up.
Blah.
Spoilers confirmed. Pretty sure half of TFA could be excised for all the exposition that is thrown out the airlock like so many General Grievouses.
But at least an old friend shows up. Some nice space battles. Some great duels. But...
People are going to be pissed that we will never get to see what everyone has wanted to see since 1983. This trilogy is watered down with ideas no one wanted.
It could have really used Lucas' vision to create the story and competent directors to execute it. There is no grand thread here. No space opera. Makes one pine for the days of the EU version of events post-Battle of Endor.
Dammit. Dammit. Dammit.

Thoughts on THE LAST JEDI: - way more nudity than expected - smart idea to do it all as a rap - Charlie Sheen totally holds his own - Adam Driver's love ballad felt awkward - didn't like the 22-minute Olaf short - Smash Mouth's "All Star" was a bold end-credits choice
What.
Nevermind. People havent seen it and are already complaining.
Assigned seats so I don't need to worry about getting there early.
I remember going to see Episode III in theaters...we got there 2 hours early to make sure we got a good seat. 30 minutes later the theater was over half full. It is funny to think about now.Aren't reserved seats one of the best inventions ever?
Used to fucking hate having to go to the movies and get a seat right underneath the screen, or way up in the corner.
For most movies, I don't like them. The theater nearest to me doesn't have it, and I like it that way.Aren't reserved seats one of the best inventions ever?

For big movies definetly. Small shows, could care less.Aren't reserved seats one of the best inventions ever?

Counterpoint:Thing about reserved seats too is they usually always are the comfortable lazy-boy style where you can lean back with your feet up if you want to. Not sure how you can dislike that.
Even for smaller movies I still enjoy picking out where I'm sitting.
Also the small chance someone is sitting in your seat, so it gives you the right to be like "Hey YOU, YOU ARE IN MY SEAT", which is a great output for any built up anger or frustration. Telling someone to get the fuck off, and they can't do anything about it- no greater joy.
