We always do ... Just like adding Jason Bilous to the 40 last year on the same day we traded Benson to Reds .... if there is a will there is a way. I just wouldn't do it for a 36-year old pitcher for nostalgia reasons. If he is clearly one of best 13 pitchers, they will find a way again.

or.. one of the best 13 pitchers for now and until a 14th is needed that could be/should be on the active roster but has options that allow the Guardians to retain control of all 14 pitchers...

It's a numbers game that defines how the club is able to retain the best now and into the future..

Just my opinions but,,,,

• Right now, DDLS looks MILES away from being MLB ready. I hope they can make a trade for him because rare power is a rare skill. He might not be MLB ready till the 2026 season.
• Cookie looks OK to me. I think he will earn a roster spot.
• In the Arias / Rocchio battle I think Arias has the lead. If Rocchio doesn't win the starting spot I would put him in Columbus again.
• Fry looking pretty good, but the roster is cramped.
• Florial is MIA. Only 6 AB's.

Agree on DDLS, although he did line a single off the first baseman's glove today on a ball that was scorched.

Florial is now 1-for-10 with 5 K's. He doesn't look like he can hit a decent fastball. It's only 10 at-bats but a 50% K-rate with no extra base hits and just one walk isn't going to cut it. They traded Cody Morris for him and he's out of options so they have to give him a shot, but I hope we see some better results by the end of March if not sooner.

I really do not believe we will go into the season with Florial, Straw and Laureano... One was gonna go...
