Texans' Record Watch

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
It seems like all the teams we thought would be terrible aren't, and well, the Browns are.

Except the Bengals. They are terrible.

Meanwhile the Bengals lead Green Bay 14-7

Hard to get a read on so many teams right now.

Next few games:

TENN - I can see TENN winning that game. They aren't playing bad at all.
KC - KC.
CLE - Ugh.
(bye)
SEA - Seattle?
INDI - lets hope Luck is back by then.

That could very well be 1-4 in the next 5 games. At best I can see 2-3.

You know what's fucking sad?

I have to cheer against watson not only for this reason of acquiring a better draft pick, but the fact that I'll have to hear that dumbass talking point jammed down our throats.

"THE BROWNS PASSED ON WATSON AND WENTZ. THEY SUCK. THEY AWFUL." will be the talking point from our shithead media for the next couple of years and it will blow.

nevermind the fact that this team is as an absolute disgrace and it's talent is mirroring that of a CFL team rather than an NFL franchise.

No...No. Two guys who are playing well on two competent organization is an excuse to keep up this talking point.

As if Watson would look like he's worth a shit on this team. Please.

That is indeed what drives me nuts. Arguments in the past could have been made for not taking No. 7 in Pittsburgh for example or something of that note.

But people just always seem to ignore those factors often times. He's starting for a team that was in the playoffs last season. This isn't this hard.

Has anyone here watched Watson?

Look I'll admit it. I wanted nothing to do with Watson. Got physically ill with the thought of taking him at 12. And you know what? I will admit he looks worlds better than what I imagined he would.

But you know what else? Still don't want him. This is why I asked if anyone has watched him. This dude takes LICKS out there. A lot of what he is doing through the air is predicated on the threat of what he has shown on the ground.

Watson's current game isn't going to hold up at all over the long term. Let's not forget RG3 had one of the best rookie seasons of all time... then he broke. Completely.

The thing that sucks is Watson looks electric enough to fuck up our draft pick, but in the long term? Not even slightly worried about regretting passing on him until he shows he doesn't need his legs to get it done. They have run the fucking read option with watson. Dudes 215 pounds. Yeah I don't think that's a formula for long term success

Watson has a ton of talent and can definitely be a franchise guy. This isn't news, however.

Watson, at least to me, was the 2nd player I wanted after Garrett. He's got the ability to be great, and I'm glad he's got that chance in Houston. Kinda blows we need them to lose for the pick to be better, though.

Kizer has been fine.. It's not on him for what is going on here in Cleveland. He's been better than expected. He just needs to keep improving and we need to pray the front office decides to do something instead of waiting til the next draft to make a move to better the team around Kizer.

As far as Houston's pick goes.. Hopefully they hit a few bumps in the road soon. Would really love the pick to be in the top 15 range, but it won't be there at this rate.

Rookie mistakes will haunt Watson, hopefully anyway. That and injuries usually play a factor.

Still very early.

I still think DeShone Kizer will be good if given time to develop.

It's hard when you're playing with a bunch of retards on offense.

Receivers out there with butter for hands and no ability to run a crisp route, a running back who runs into the back of his own linemen....

But there's poor old Joe Thomas still blocking his man, though.

Who do we want with first overall?

Does it matter? They will just get hurt and we will end up not improved at all. We can't win with this damn team. It's a longshot that our draft picks are good and if they end up good they will just get hurt.

Like, fuck. I truly believe success is just unattainable for this franchise at this point.

If we swapped the skill position players from the Browns and Texans, who'd look better? Not trying to take anything away from Watson because he very well might be the better QB in the long run, but he's also throwing to real NFL WR's and has real NFL RBs behind him.

You guys keep using the word “retards” to describe the Browns. And frankly, it’s offensive.

Not because the word retard bothers me. I couldn’t give a fuck less. But because retarded people generally try really hard at stuff and a lot of the Browns...really don’t. Least not today when I finally wasted my time watching.

Watson has had two great games against bottom 5 defenses, I'd hold off on polishing those franchise qb labels for now.

Somewhere in these threads, I threw out there that there hasn't been a WR as good as Hopkins on the Browns in 30 years. Just having a guy like him on this roster would cure lots of evils.
