For some reason my thanks button has disappeared. Is there a reason for this or am I going crazy?

Everyone else is missing it too. I, for some reason, still have it.

It's set to 5 "thanks" a day in order to combat the influx of abusive thankers during this trade talk. It will be set back after the choas dies down which is already starting to happen.

I haven't giving a thanks in like 2 days and i still don't have it ...

Dont think it's working correctly Last thanks I gave was almost 36 hours ago.

Not positive, but it may also only be available to those with more than a certain number of posts, like 50. There were new registrants recently that just began thanking people for no reason. I'll confirm.

That would explain my lack of ability to thank. I should post more.

If this is true, that is a terrific idea. Stops the idiots who sign up to thank every post on the page.

With all due respect to whatever mod instituted the rule, I've been posting on various Cavs boards for about 8 years (ESPN back in the day, and scout.com one for the past four), and I'm not a big poster but I probably read 80-100% of the individual posts that are written on this site on any given day. I like to use the thanks to agree with posters who share my views on the Cavs and to give some props to posters who have really well-written and insightful posts.

I understand needing to have a distinction between the new members who are abusing this resource by way of a post count, since there are no only common denominators these posters share, but I am dissapointed that this feature had to be taken away.

W&G broke it...

Same thing here, I'm more of a lurker than poster, but I also read the majority of the posts here, been a member for a while now, so I hope they haven't set a predetermined limit.

Like I said, as far as I know it is temporary until the trade deadline passes.
