The Gold is Golder: New uniforms to come?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
It's time for new uni's though...

LeBron was introduced in 2003 with new uniforms, LeBron left in 2010 and we introduced the current ones, it'll be 2017-18 on pace for new uniforms.

It'll be a huge missed opportunity if they don't cash in on current events. They could develop some best of the best jerseys with our colorway.

They could easily have 5 jerseys to choose from, Wine, Navy for road, Gold, White for home, and Black.

Need to see the tyrone hill era unis as throwbacks. Period

I'd like them to bring the old LeBron era jerseys back. Maybe adjust the colorway a tad bit with the updated scheme and just go full circle with it all.

These incumbent jerseys have grown on me and they will always be attached to winning memories despite the initial dark times though.

The Cavs have a long history of ditching branding and doing something new. We've had multiple colors and logos and jerseys and even names sorta. I thought we were close to nailing it in 03, but there was some value in the throwback look we've gone to since 2010. Our home jerseys are beautiful and the old colors are bold. I think merchandising looks better now than ever, even if these aren't our best all-time jerseys.

I really wish we could create a classic set and stick to it personally, but it is about time for new jerseys if we go by precedent. I think dropping the navy and black altogether would help us simplify the look and accomplish this, but that shit ain't happening while there are coffers to be filled.

LeBron will have worn 3 separate sets of jerseys and countless alternates over his career JUST WITH US. They wore about 1900 different jerseys during his time in Miami too. $$$$$$$$$$$$

If they put the current colors on the 03 set with a couple tweaks, I'd probably shit myself. I'm not confident they won't fuck this up though.

I want to see the Cavs wear the LeBron 1.0 era jerseys again so bad.
Just for merchandising alone it needs to happen.

I've never been one for jersey monetization in sport - think there's enough money going around that we can do without it (plus, nobody is going to buy a new jersey because they want the sponsors patch - quite the opposite, in fact).

But American sports (baseball, basketball, football) have actually done rather well to avoid this for so long. Across the globe, jersey's have been sold with corporate logos for decades and it only mitigates the appeal of the design. However we should be thankful that not only is the Goodyear logo subtle, but in a way, actually compliments the jersey and resonates with the whole LBJ/Akron/Home thing.

Could've been far worse, that's for sure.

Exactly this. Imagine the 10-17 colors on the 03-10 design. Would look so crisp, so unique, and wouldn't draw too far away from the current designs which have brought us some of the best moments.
