The Jimmy Haslam Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Character issues are a nice cover for him, honestly.

They're doing a good job of all the red flags in his game that make him a longshot in the NFL.

As I said earlier.

It's all moot, we're not getting him anyways. I am fine with not drafting a QB. Obviously its a glaring need, but they got to stop wasting draft picks.

It's not QB or bust, there's a lot of holes we can fix this draft. Obviously a receiver is needed, I think they're thin at the linebacker position. I wouldn't mind beefing up the middle of the line too.

If they draft a QB in the later rounds, I'm fine with that. If they start trading down, trying to stock up on picks, and not take the BPA, then I'll just lose my mind.

My worry is the Browns will draft a QB in a weak QB class only for said QB to look awful due to the organizational inconsistencies going on right now. Our number one tight end doesn't want anything to do with this franchise and our number one wide out is suspended and on his way out.

There's too many factors in the air for us to draft a QB this year. We'll end up throwing him out there and he'll bomb. Mariotta and Winston don't really impress me. They would seem like a 3rd and 4th option in a really great QB class. I'll pass, everything considered.

Let Haslam continue his Manziel experiment for the next couple of years and see if he decides to let the football minds take over after it doesn't succeed. Maybe this guy humbles himself after he realizes he drafted a first rounder who should have been in recovery to begin with and that recovery doesn't end after rehabilitation. I'm sure Johnny has spent time with LeBron and LeBron has told him to chill out along with his family members. Maybe it works.

Then perhaps we find out he just sucks and is injury prone due to his small stature.

Then we should... we should...

Fire the entire coaching staff and GM and start over. Amirite?

Here's a funny Jameis story. Was talking to my friend who works for the Cavs. He said he's talking to Brandon Jennings when the Pistons were in town. Last year at 2014 ESPYs, Jameis and Jennings sat next to each other/or right by each other. When Michael Sam got on stage to accept the Arthur Ashe award, Jameis yelled out "GAAAAAAAAAAAY". Jennings said everyone around them just looked around like "did that really happen?" and just shook their heads.

We will draft O line and D line, and go 4-12. Just like every year.

Probably, and I am probably in the minority, but I would be OKAY letting Hoyer start again next year. I don't think he's the long-term answer, but with a little better offensive line, I do think we can be one of the best rushing teams in the NFL.

And Hoyer plays pretty decently off a good running game.

I don't care if Johnny becomes mother Teresa, he clearly can't play at this level. Yes, his small size sample was enough for a doubter in me to begin with, say this guy doesn't belong at this level.

Never wanted him, and I'd like to just move on from him period. I hope he gets his life together, but to me that has no bearing at all on his future here. He can't play in the NFL.

After seeing Manziel, I'm fine with Hoyer for another year and continuing to build around them. Pretty much be accepting we're gonna suck next year but oh well. We're used to it by now. Maybe the 2016 class of QBs is good?

Totally okay with that. Any more than 4 wins would be a serious disappointment, honestly.

Hoyer at QB though just seems like it would be a complete waste of time for anyone and everyone who cares at all about the Browns. Just let Manziel loose for a smooth 2-14 season. :chuckle:

He also said his team isn't a dysfunctional mess despite the fact his GM is sending text messages to the coaches box and sidelines and that they weren't aware of any Manziel red flags.

His comments were insulting to anyone with half a brain....

He's a politician. Everything is great because he says so. It just made him look more incompetent though.

Yeah, we get it. Media is completely accurate and anything said by the team is bullshit. Rinse and repeat.

I actually think Haslam is dirtier than a politician. And that's saying something...

Halsam on Browns FA reflects me in the past when I thought a girl was going to break up with me.

Sorry FA, but I'm going to say I'm not spending money on FA before you can say no to coming here.
