" That's a good one, Keaton."
Good grief,
Rcristal

At first I thought rcristal pooped in the proverbial sink... next thing you know the situation flips and Bieber sinked in the poop.

Light toss weighted ball into a fence has been a day after start staple in recovery days since the early 2000s.

That’s what Gavin was doing.

He was not throwing a weighted ball at “max effort”.
Who is Max Effort and why would we throw weighted balls at him?

What type of deal it would take to keep Shane? I would offer a three year deal to him this winter.

Year 1: 5M
Year 2: 15M
Year 3: 20M team option with no guaranteed money or 15M team option with 2.5M guaranteed.

Can't see the team losing him in free agency now. It'll make the most sense for all involved to kick the can down the road as he rehabs with the help of a guaranteed pay check. Guardians how to get another year or 2 out of a cheap ace after the rehab.

Maybe. I think a team will come along that offers more for that extra year of 'cheap ace'. Or, another team offers him an out clause with any extra years. It would be a nice gamble for the Gs, making 2026 a contending year, but I think that extra year would have to start at 25m and/or include reachable incentives that get it over that mark.

Aka Woodruff is 2.5 in 24, 5 in 25 with 20 M mutual option with a 10 Million buy out... (plus he gets to travel with the team)

Bieber is a year younger, and made a bit more already, but fairly comparable numbers...

Guarantee money of 17.5 Million...

My guess would be the 3-5 million in 25... With let's say 8-10 with some incentives of 3-5 additional then a mutual option for 15-20 in 27 with a 5 million or so buy out...

Guaranteeing at least 16 million... Something like that... Woodruff type of deal is something his agent will likely use as a guildline at least and try to get the 15-20 in guarantees for Bieber...

I am working on the assumption that doesn't pitch next season or if he does its only in September so there's little need for incentives next season. Plus there's no point in rushing his return if he agrees to a three year deal.

I could see Shane pushing for a mutual option but the maybe the last year they can include another 5M in incentives so it remains a team option.

Year 1: 5M
Year 2: 15M
Year 3: 20M team option with another 5M of incentives or 20M with 2.5M guaranteed with no incentives.
