Not totally convinced? Let’s jump ahead in the scene and “enhance” EVEN MORE.

So, just to put to rest the ridiculous theory that Jon's father is anyone but Rhaegar Targaryen, here is an infographic FROM THE NETWORK THAT PRODUCES THE SHOW.

This chart shows that Lyanna was "kidnapped", not that she and Rhaegar were actually married. I assume that's because the show has not yet addressed that point, but it could be an unintentional leak.

Sunny weather delays 'Game of Thrones' season 7 filming, premiere

Winter is coming...but slowly.

Game of Thrones” fans were left drooling for more of the HBO hit when its sixth season wrapped — but may have to wait longer than expected.

The series’ creators revealed on an Ultimate Fighting Championship podcast (they’re fans) that they will wait to film the next season for “grim” weather.

Season 7, “will probably [air] a little bit later,” said the show’s David Benioff and D.B. Weiss on “UFC Unfilitered.” “Because at the end of this season, ‘Winter is here.’ And that means that sunny weather doesn’t really serve our purposes anymore. We kind of pushed everything … so we could get some grim, gray weather even in the sunnier places that we shoot.”

The duo did not rule out a possible “prequel” after the show ends in two seasons — but added they haven’t had time to even think about it.

My guess is that the cost of each episode will be quite a bit higher as well, which would account for the lower number of episodes.

Haven't read the link, but I take it the episodes will be longer?

lol. This show is finishing in 2018 and the books may not be done until 2025, if ever. Shit will be an afterthought at that point. Boy, did Martin fuck this up good. Real good. But he got his $$$, so, yeah.

Eh...the books are going to do well regardless of when he releases them. They're already so different from the novels and are likely only going to get more different as time passes.

Oh, I never meant to insinuate they won't do well. We'll all buy them and love them and eat them up. Let's not act like it'll be the same, though. Any excitement I have for TWOW and ADOS is hollow as fuck, but I can only speak for myself. You really of the belief that the story we get is going to be that different? Season 6 shot ahead of the books by a decent margin, but how much of that stuff you really think isn't going to be in the books? Let's see, Jon being rezzed- check, that'll be in. Dany defeating the Slavers and sailing for Westeros- check, absolutely gonna happen. Hodor revelation- check, already confirmed to be straight from Martin himself. R+L=J? Please. Check. Origin of the Others? Already revealed. Tommen dead? lol, this is definitely happening in the first ten pages. Some circumstances are going to be different, no doubt, and little details that we love the books for will be enticing. However, I can't say I don't have a feeling this story has already blown its wad in terms of revelations, and at this point it's all about wrap up time- time to see the fates of our major characters, which is basically the endgame, and if there's one thing Martin has expressed he's told Benioff and Weiss, it's the endgame. They wiggled around to get there, but now we're there.

I think it's such an exaggeration when people talk about how much this show differs from the books. It followed a pretty tight script up through Season 4, then diverged a bit in Season 5 and Season 6 I already covered above- we can expect most of that stuff in TWOW, albeit perhaps told differently. But I feel like our characters end up mostly in the same place at the end of the day (ie sure Sansa never marries Ramsay in the books, but by the end of TWOW does anyone doubt she's in Winterfell with the Vale at her back?)

I hope the Emmy's recognize this series with some wins this year. 'The Door' episode esp better win it !!! I cant think of any TV series in recent times where a side character who no one cares about becomes the center piece of an entire episode and moves the audience in a very touching manner. Hodor !! Hodor !! Hodor !!

Tough to pick a single episode, but I'd go with the finale. The scenes in KL in particular were simply art.

There was a sadistic pleasure i got when the high Sparrow had the 'Oh Shit' look in his face, Lol. I agree with you as all the episodes were well made, but the Door was my personal favorite. I mean as much as I loved Osha and her bazooms, I was not moved when she was killed, Or Ian McShane, But the death of Hodor moved me. And i cant think of one time i gave 2 cents to Hodor. But the last episode is great too. As long as the Emmys give them an award.

I get the man is trying to write a good piece of fiction, and these books are long, but it doesn't take what will now be 12 years total to write two books. 6 years in between books 4 and 5 and 5 and 6. I mean you can write at a slow, leisurely pace and still produce a quality piece of work in, you know, half the time.

It's not just screaming "write faster!!!" It's just screaming write.

Martin has always said that part of his process involves working on multiple projects simultaneously.
