The Official Game of Thrones [A Song of Ice and Fire] Thread (includes spoilers)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Basically the killing of the Dothraki Lords setting the place on fire. She is starting to show it (the books have it worse for her).

I am wondering what Bran's role is in this situation. Does he help Jon, Sansa and the north? Was he corrupted by the visions he had seen? Does Jamie off Cersei or does Arya off her (please let it be Arya)

I have no clue about what Bran is going to do. I had a theory that is completely shot by him heading south of the Wall. Maybe he's going to return to Winterfell, and perhaps act as some sort of seer/advisor for Jon fighting back the Others from Winterfell. Maybe the emissary/communicator/diplomat if Jon tries to negotiate with the Night's King at some point.

He surely will warg into Danny's dragons once all hell breaks loose. The dragons aren't fully "tamed" yet. So this is an obvious important role he will fill.

Forgot about that -- but you're right.

Hey, that whole "dragon has three heads" thing...suppose that refers to the "Ice Dragon" theory that one of the dragons will be killed and brought back by the WW. Maybe the "three heads" are actually "three heads" vying for control of the Ice Dragon. 1) it's own mind (including loyalty to Danys), 2) The Night's King, and 3) Bran warging into to it wrest control from the Night's King.

Or What if the first men were some of the original dragon lords from Valyria and that the dragon has 3 heads is not Dany, Jon and WW but it is Jon, Sansa, and Arya.

That seems pretty unlikely based on what we know. There hasn't been any evidence of significant Dragon involvement in the history/lore of the First Men -- no real stories of dragons fighting the Others --, and I'd imagine the blood of the First Men is significantly more diluted than that of the inbred Targaeryens anyway.

The way it is playing out I am wondering if GRRM is going to steal some from LOTR (he has in places already) with something to do with there being a Stark in Winterfell and the North Remembers being a way to control the army of the others to usher in Dawn.

The stories Old Nan used to tell of the Ice Dragons. It sounds like there are dragons (ice or figurative ice) that are native to Northern Westeros. Also the purest of the blood of the first men is in the North as they weren't part of most of the intermingling of marriages between the Andals. It is also of note that the Starks are one of the oldest houses in Westeros that never had a marriage with a Targaryn or their subsequent houses.

What is interesting is this is supposed to be a short season. We will see how much gets answered in this season and who dies... (should have a GOT Death pool).

I don't think a "Stark in Winterfell" is anything other than symbolic. The white walkers started coming back well before Ned Stark lost his head, and Robb or Bran were there for a while after Ned left too.

The question is, in the books he brought back Cat now do we see a return of Lady Stoneheart? Also how nuts has Euron gone and to the same extent Dany? You see her slowly developing the same madness as other Targs as well.

I think that if Cat were coming back it would have happened by now. She's been dead far too long to bring her back at this point. There'd be damn near nothing left of her corpse.

Thought that was telegraphed at the end of last season when he met Beric Dondarrion again.

Love Dondarrion as a character at this point as well. In a weird way, he's the closest link remaining to Ned Stark as Hand.

Don't think Dondarion fights for the Starks.

I think he'll fight for the Red God, which in this context will mean fighting for humanity.

So maybe not "for" the Starks, but very likely alongside them.

HBO has officially started spinoff developmen. They've picked 4 reputable screenwriters to pair with Martin to come up with different ideas for a spin-off(s)?

Details here.

The events leading to, and the war of, Robert's Rebellion is my guess.
