The Official Game of Thrones [A Song of Ice and Fire] Thread (includes spoilers)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I don't think the Lord of Light actually exists. I think something or someone else is manipulating people while pretending to be a god who grants visions.

Well I mean the Lord of Light or someone else can bring people back to life. That's a pretty god like power. What's the difference between a god and say the Night King? Kinda splitting hairs.

Whoever that is really wants Jon Snow to succeed. Warned him something bad was going to happen to him, he is all Melisandre can see when she is trying to focus on Stannis, and then he gets brought back to life.

I do think it's interesting that Melisandre basically says there are 2 gods and one can't be mentioned. We don't know if this god has any followers or not. You suspect it is the dead beyond the wall or white walkers, but we sort of know those guys were made by the children of the forest. Were they co-opted by somebody else?

I had never heard of this new Chapter from WOW until Rich posted it, but I read it today and it makes me think that Euron has stolen some advanced knowledge from Valyria. That's why he is so fast on the water and where he got the horn to bind dragons and the Valyrian steel armor.

Pretty wild if he is the main bad guy in this thing how late he comes into picture.

I do too, but I think the people at the very top of religion are in on it/know it.

Like I dont think Kinvara is being manipulated. She either knows who/what is giving them visions in the flames ornshes the one doing it.

EDIT: Or, something like The Voice said. Bran is R'Hllor, but maybe accidentally. And the people who can see through flames have sorta been catching glimpses of things Bran sees. Some weird shit. I don't know.

The leaker is releasing major info tonight, or GRRM is?

The "spoilers" to which this thread previously referred were spoilers from the books. Since the show has overtaken the books, what is the policy on what "spoilers" are now permitted? Personally, I don't want to click on this thread and inadvertently read script leaks, etc.. I'd suggest that if someone is going to post those kind of leaks, they should be clearly marked in spoiler tags.

Absolutely no chance anyone should be posting script leaks without heavy spoiler warning/tags. No need for that shit at all in my opinion but if it's tagged properly, whatever, even in the high likelihood it's fake. We all know the real spoilers will inevitably come out, just as they did for Season 7 and I read them for entertainment thinking they would be false.

Yeah, they were almost 100% spot on.

So, not reading shit this year.

Yeah, I think that standard spoiler rules should be in effect here. Any leaked info is in tags. Spoilers only up to the most recently aired episode.

Eh I'm not posting any of it. Y'all know where to find it if you want. Or you can dm me and Ill tell you. And yes, a fairly big one.

Is this in regards to the show? Or the book?

Oh, silly me. Thought he meant info about the book coming out.

So I've been down a rabbit hole but Tyrion is a million percent gonna be a bad guy by the end of the books at least.

Not only does Ghost attack him shen he goes to Winterfell the first time, but the rest of the Wolves do the same when he comes back after going to the Wall.

Like, that's about a wrap on it. The direwolves simply don't make mistakes. His arc is gonna be Tywin reborn.

And then, I read an old 1999 George interview after ACOK came out and he said, without any context needed "he (Tyrion) is a villain. And we all love good villains."

Throw in everything else in the books (Quaithe specficially listing him as a person not to be trusted, him raping the slave girl in ADWD), I just don't see how it all can be ignored? But PARTICULARLY the direwolves. Thatd a big, big, BIG tell.
