The Official Game of Thrones [A Song of Ice and Fire] Thread (includes spoilers)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
So I've been down a rabbit hole but Tyrion is a million percent gonna be a bad guy by the end of the books at least.

Not only does Ghost attack him shen he goes to Winterfell the first time, but the rest of the Wolves do the same when he comes back after going to the Wall.

Like, that's about a wrap on it. The direwolves simply don't make mistakes. His arc is gonna be Tywin reborn.

And then, I read an old 1999 George interview after ACOK came out and he said, without any context needed "he (Tyrion) is a villain. And we all love good villains."

Throw in everything else in the books (Quaithe specficially listing him as a person not to be trusted, him raping the slave girl in ADWD), I just don't see how it all can be ignored? But PARTICULARLY the direwolves. Thatd a big, big, BIG tell.

I think he definitely ends up being one of Dany's three betrayals. Could be either blood (because he can't kill off his family) or gold (symbolizes the Lannisters), but I think he's one of them.

Yes I agree and the reason I rule out love is because there's a passage in the books that STRONGLY hints at it being Missandei.

Which passage?

Ill quote it in a bit but you remember the show scene where Aemon says a "Targaryen alone in the world is a terrible thing"...pause, and then Jon walks in? Its the equivalent of that. Like, almost exactly like that between Missandei and Dany.

No offense but, people reading spoilers then posting their predictions....?

@Jack Brickman

“The blood of the dragon.” But my dragons are roaring in the darkness. “I remember the Undying. Child of three, they called me. Three mounts they promised me, three fires, and three treasons. One for blood and one for gold and one for …”

“Your Grace?” Missandei stood in the door of the queen’s bedchamber, a lantern in her hand. “Who are you talking to?”

This seems so on the nose to me.

Dont think its gonna haopen in the show. I thought there was a chance in the middle of last season, but by seasons end I dont see it.

Books though, I think she betrays. And frankly I think Dany is wrong in the books about the betrayals. She thinks MMD and Jorah are the first two. I kinda think she's wrong on one if not both.

I mean it's a thread for discussion. I've felt Tyrion would be a bad guy by the end since ADWD and have said so, in here, for years.

I talked about Missandei potentially being a traitor since last season. None of this is new from me.

But last year you hadn't read spoilers.

I mean...if you'd read spoilers that contradicted your predictions, you wouldn't still be pushing those same predictions, would you? So when you read spoilers, then come in and post certain predictions, it makes it more likely for us that they are true.

I had to put you on ignore to avoid being spoiled in those one thread, and that kind of sucks.

Except I'm specifically talking about the books here. I also believe Euron is the end Game bad guy in the books and is going to be the one to take a Dragon.

Now is it safe to say that wont be happening in the show? Yea, I'd say so.

So when I talk about what I think Tyrion or Missandei will do, in the books, I mean in the books.

If that bothers you guys, hit the ignore button. Not gonna stop positing my book theories here.

Dude, you openly advertise you read leaks and spoilers then continue pushing certain theories. Regardless if it’s book or show, it doesn't matter. It instantly reeks of, “I read something that confirms or supports my book theory.”

You won’t budge on it obviously, but glad to see I’m not alone in being annoyed by it. You can continue to post what you want. If you request we deal with it by putting you on ignore, so be it.

Let’s be honest, too- if Tyrion betrays Dany in the books, he’s doing it in the show too most likely and vice versa. Highly doubt the showrunners would deviate so greatly from a character arc for one of if not THE main characters in the entire series. It’d probably be one of the major narrative links GRRM told them about in the very beginning.

Then do it.

Enjoy discussing with yourself. :chuckle:
