The Strus is Loose

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
One thing to keep in mind is that among players who have started 40 games this season, he's bottom 10 in both 3PT openness and 3PT shot quality, (via BBall-Index.)

we were told this was because he was playing in Miami and he would get a ton of open shots here and up his three point percentage -- which has basically always been meh (36% regular season, 32% in the playoffs) -- would go up a lot. I guess not, he's shooting under 34% this season. He's like a mediocre shooter and being a shooter is his thing, but he's somehow contributing a lot to the team...has a +8.9 on/off. He's a much more well rounded basketball player than expected.

He seems to have a really high basketball IQ, always standing in the right place, makes the right pass. Does a lot of intangibles that don’t show up on the score sheet. Same goes for his defense.

Not saying he was the key to Miamis success but they sure as hell don’t look nearly as good without him

I didn't realize how well-rounded his entire game was. I kinda of figured that if he wasn't hitting shots he was a liability. That has not been the case at all.

Listened to Dallas radio broadcast. Good time for Strus to bust outta that slump.

Love seeing him have a big statistical night. He’s had fewer of them than I’d hoped for, but he makes a difference in winning every ball game. Cavs are very lucky to have him.
