TWITTER LEFTISTS TRIGGERED BY ‘RACIST’ WHITE SKITTLES
Social justice warriors see dark nod to white supremacy

Fake news please?! PLEASE?!

Seriously though, really not a fan of corporate sponsorship of political movements at all anyways. I'm struggling to see the angle into LGBTQ+ support by using white. The only fun I can see to all white Skittles is for people who sort them by flavor. Now they're forced to partake before they know the flavor. I hope that's not intended as tongue in cheek allegory.

Personally, I've always ate them by the mouthful so this is taste neutral for me. Regardless, I wouldn't buy a special package of Skittles fresh w/ activism anyways, regardless of the message. It's a dumb idea.

I'm sitting this discussion out, but in the Women's NCAA tournament, the Ladycocks just upset Stanford.

Have a great weekend!

With Hymen or without ??? Very important inquiry for our Virgin-fetish folks ???

EXCLUSIVE: The naked truth! Caitlyn Jenner is planning to unveil her new body after gender reassignment surgery in a NUDE photo shoot - but not all the Kardashian clan is on board.

This dude apparently cares very little about how his public statements and actions affect his own kids.

Horribly selfish.

The core issue is the redefinition of "gender" to "gender roles". That's what has really happened.

Just to be clear; and I totally understand that it can be confusing because it used to confuse me; but, a person can have a traditionally male gender role, while having a female gender identity, and male genitalia. These three things strongly correlate with one another, however, that correlation is not 100%; hence the separate and distinct assignment of dimension.

It's just to better understand and communicate the idea of "gender" with greater specificity.

I don't think that is actually correct. Someone may argue that is possible, but they'd be arguing that point solely for the purpose of trying to validate the independent concept of "gender identity." But if you actually look at the definitions you used previously in this thread, there wouldn't be any basis to claim a female gender identity if a person had both male genitalia and a preference for male gender roles. Give me a bit, and I'll find the post....

Okay, here it is. We were having a discussion based off the Wikipedia definition, which you specifically endorsed. If you look at the back and forth, you'll see the point:.

Okay, I'm generally fine with that definition, a usable definition of "masculinity" and "femininity" is required. Although I would point out that as is common in more controversial Wikipedia topics, this first definition can easily contradict the second, and lead to opposite results. In other words, Wikipedia is not giving a single, clear definition. Rather, it is simply listing different definitions for the word "gender".

Bingo!! That is exactly my point, and that's the one that should be discussed to see if it is a sufficient justification to change the meaning of male/female/man/woman/boy girl

Using the word to define the word is bogus, and we're not in India or Pakistan anyway. So we're left with what is behind door No. 2.

I'm going to add something here to see if I can convey my point more clearly. You have previously noted that "male" and "female" are binary/polar terms. You also have stated that you have misgivings about whether "gender" is, in fact, binary or polar, and that it may actually be more of a continuum. And in terms of how "gender" has been defined even in your Wikipedia example (the second and even third referring to roles in society), I'd tend to agree. "Gender" is not binary/polar at all. It is a continuum.

It seem not only misleading, but irrational, to redefine binary terms and use them to describe something that is not binary. In contrast, given that the vast majority of the population does fall within the binary biological/reproductive sexual division, it would make sense to continue using those binary terms to describe characteristics that are, in fact, binary.
