Trump supporters 6 months ago:
“There were no meetings with any Russians.”

Trump supporters 3 months ago:
“They just forgot to report the meetings with Russians.”

Trump supporters last week:
"There's no evidence of collusion with Russia!!"

Trump supporters 3 days ago:
"Who cares if the Trump campaign colluded with Russia?"

Trump supporters yesterday:
“It’s Obama’s fault for not stopping the meetings with Russians.”

Trump’s lawyer Jay Sekulow today:
“It’s the Secret Service’s fault for not stopping the meeting with Russians.”

Trump supporters tomorrow:
“Трамп собирается сделать Россию великой снова!”

The new PPP poll is astonishing.... If the results are true, it would suggest Trump supporters are just mentally fucked...

Here's a snippet from Newsweek:
"
He made the boast during an Iowa rally: "My people are so smart. And you know what else they say about my people, the polls? They say I have the most loyal people. Did you ever see that? Where I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn't lose any voters, OK? It's like incredible."

Public Policy Polling put that claim to the test, and it mostly held up. Forty-five percent of Trump voters said they would approve of the president shooting someone on Fifth Avenue, while just 29 percent disapproved. Twenty-six percent, somehow, were unsure about their thoughts about whether it would be OK for Trump to shoot a random person on the street.

Pretty predictably, 90 percent of Hillary Clinton voters said they disapproved of the president shooting someone. But, perhaps surprisingly, 17 percent of those who voted for Independent candidate Gary Johnson approved of Trump shooting someone, according to Public Policy Polling.

More Republicans (which presumably includes some #NeverTrumpers) approved of Trump shooting someone than disapproved. Forty-two percent approved, 34 percent disapproved, and 25 percent weren't sure.

Overall, when asked the question "If Donald Trump shot someone on Fifth Avenue, would you approve or disapprove of the job he's doing as president?," 22 percent of voters approved and 62 percent disapproved. "

Did they give a reason as to why he is shooting someone in this scenario? If a certain group of Obama supporters were asked the same thing, I'm willing to bet the results would be the same.

The question is:
Q.53: "If Donald Trump shot someone on 5th Avenue, would you approve or disapprove of the job he’s doing as President?"

The crosstabs are as follows:

Huber... that's awful.

It's just as bad with other questions...

For example; "Even if there was an investigation, and it found that the Trump campaign did collude with Russia to aid his campaign, 77% of his supporters think he should still stay in office to just 16% who believe he should resign."

That's ridiculous...

Do we really think this is okay?

If Trump shoots someone in the middle of the street it would probably be for a good reason. Sounds like a good Mark Walbergh movie. I won't discuss the other poll because I'm sure it's just as bogus as the first. PPP are poll herders.

This is rather alarming....

I say that because we could be coming upon a time where our patriotism and loyalty to our country, over our party, might be tested.

If any president is pulling out a gun and busting caps I would hope it would be for a good reason. No matter who it is. Hillary too if she was president (she's not and we know she likes to run from fake snipers )

Why do you think Trump supporters are the folks that think this way, and everyone else doesn't?

For example, only 14% of Gary Johnson voters are in line with the plurality of Trump supporters on this question, 4% of Clinton supporters, and 0% of Jill Stein supporters, 8% of folks who voted for none of the above...

So why do you think that is?

Trump's lawyer's statement was false. DTJ, at the time of the meeting, wasn't under SS handling. It was immediately discussed by SS when they were blamed.

Because most anti-Trumpers have this scary view of him thanks to the MSM while trump supporters or people that are indifferent have a more reasonable view.

You don't think there's any people who were indifferent about Trump that ultimately voted for Clinton, Stein, or Johnson?

I guess I'm just trying to understand this secondary category you've put out there of people who are "indifferent," because, if I remove that from your argument, I'm left with the following:

"trump supporters .. have a more reasonable view."

And I'm trying to understand this aspect.. How do Trump supporters have a more "reasonable view" than non-Trump supporters?

Spicer - 182 days
Stephanopoulos - 138 days - Clinton
Jake Stewart - 112 day - Clinton
I knew someone would take the bait. :chuckle:

Thanks for stepping up! You've pointed out that two Press Secs resigned during a monumental scandal that caused them crippling depression and anxiety.

This was 20+ years ago. Now let's continue the conversation as to why Trump's yes man just quit in 2017 after 6 months.

A fair number of us new he was a festering pile of shit before the birther stuff. Then he confirmed it over and over again. Then he ran for president (for realsies) and somehow proved to be worse than anyone realized.

But yeah, the MSM has created some illusion that Trump is scary.
