Any ideas on what nickname Trump will give Flake?

The Nazis were developing nuclear weapons, Medium; just as we were ... Moreover, the conquest of Asia, Europe, and Africa by the Axis would have left the United States almost completely isolated, and would have left 3/4ths of the Earth's population under the dominion of Adolf Hitler and Emperor Hirohito.

Nothing could be more noble, brave, and honorable than fighting in such a conflict against the most tangible form of evil ever known to the world. Refusing to fight against such a threat is, by extension, the opposite of those traits.
I don't disagree with you. Dying for your country is the ultimate sacrifice (Trump needs to stfu about this and stop doubling and tripling down). I just don't think it's something I could do, and I'd be willing to live with whatever consequences come from it. It wouldn't be a brave or honorable decision, and I don't really expect anyone to see it as such.

For levity, just found out about this:

A few things:

1) If this makes money I am wasting my life when I could be exploiting Trump supporters for financial gain.

2) I wonder how much they're paying for his likeness?

3) I find it hilarious that we went from the Teddy bear (you know, based on the Rough Rider who believed in conservation and speaking softly while carrying a big stick) to... this (draft dodging pampered baby who yells insults and makes empty threats).

I've thought about this a lot when it comes to WWII. In reality the US was never going to be invaded. It just wouldn't happen. They went to war to defend our allies, but I don't think I would leave my family and loved ones to die thousands of miles from home for that. I'm selfish and I don't pretend not to be. I see my "greater purpose" being my family, future family, etc.

A Nazi hegemony with almost unlimited natural resources and labor would have posed a serious problem for the U.S. within a couple of decades at most.

That aside, I agree with @gourimoko about the immorality of allowing Nazi Germany to survive and triumph even absent a direct threaten to the U.S.

Don't mind losing Flake. It's a state the GOP should be able to hold, and I'd rather have a more conservative Senator anyway. Just wish the only one would retire as well.

Yeah, if there's an instance where I'd be likely to nut up and accept the draft it's WWII. A literal global threat to liberty.

You wouldn't risk your own life to stop the Nazis or the Holocaust from happening?
