The Walking Dead

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I enjoyed it. Big mix up at the end there.

Ugh. Felt like the first four episodes again. A bunch of scenes with no sense of who was where, or why, or what the hell was really going on. Convoys on the road with no explanation of why, or where they were going.

And I was about to spit when Maggie's convoy stopped. These people have been fighting for years, and the first freaking thing you donwhen vehicles stop is get the hell out, fast. They just all sat there, inexplicably passive as hell, until they were disarmed.

I wish it was the writers/directors who had all gotten bitten instead of Carl. The whole thing where all the snipers amd scouts.leave the Sanctuary, and nobody stayed to keep it under observation, was contrived as hell.

The whole damn episode made no sense.

So I'm going to make the wild assumption that Chandler Riggs does want off the show *rumors have been around for a while*

It's either that, or this is the shitty writers' attempt to change the zombie infected arrow that hits Rick.

Cuz remember, the Grimes family is immortal and immune to the virus. Why? Because plot armor, that's why.

Riggs wants to go to college. Gimple is kind of taking the heat for it, but Carl’s time was done. Rumor originally was that he was going to die when he got shot in the eye, but he agreed to sign back on. Considering he’s the second most important character in the show, and this is an extremely major deviation from the comics, I think they handled it pretty well. This episode was good for the Carl scenes and I’m sure the mid season premier will be too.

Only thing that sucks is Glenn, Abe, Sasha, and now Carl are all gone in the past season and a half. I realize Glenn and Sasha had to die to correspond with comic plots, and Carl was unavoidable pretty much, but now I’m even more pissed they killed Abe. He’d be awesome to have right now.

Im an episode or two back...but wasn't Maggie hot a few years ago? She looks like trash. Did the browns really lose? I m hammered.

Thought Rick said the snipers were all killed.

Some ofmthis was definitely confusing but The writing on this show hasnt been solid for a while.

Thought Rick said the snipers were all killed.

I think Rick assumed that because the snipers weren't there - he didn't know about Daryl's plan. But if all those snipers actually were killed, it isn't credible that Negan could have wiped all of them out simultaneously, with nobody able to raise the radio alarm at all. It just doesn't make any sense.

Speaking of which, the lack of radio communications between Rick's various groups was unexplained. The first group to be attacked would have radioed out a warning. Instead, these widely scattered groups, some of which were travelling, were all completely surprised.

Also, Eugene must know that Negan will learn sooner or later that he helped the doctor escape to Hilltop since capturing Hilltop is part of the plan. That makes me thimk Eugene has something up his sleeve. My pet theory is that Eugene "spiked" the replacement ammunition he made so that it won't work correctly once they start dipping into it. Thay will result in Negan's forces getting crushed at some critical point.

That’s a great theory and I think it’d be cool.

But maybe I missed this: what was Eugenes solution to the siege of Sanctuary? Did I miss that? Was it just they shot their way out and Eugene could make them new bullets?

You didn't miss anything -- they oddly left that completely unexplained.

Maybe the reason they did that was because how they got out is actually important to the story moving forward. If I'm guessing, they may have disassembled ammunition, collected the gun powder, and made bombs or grenades. They may have blown open a new exit with the explosives, escaped, then led the Z's away. That's important because it will mean they used up most of their ammo, which is a point they'll want to emphasize to viewers in the second half to set up Eugene's betrayal.

Ok, good stuff. Either it’s bad writing or it actually is important to the story like you said. We’ll see.

I just remember the scene where Eugene was trying to sleep and there was nonstop gunfire in the background, I took that to mean they shot their way out or something. Definitely something I’ll be looking to be addressed, because it absolutely seemed they were purposefully vague on what happened even when Maggie straight up asked Simon. Has to be important.

There was a scene with a short sequence where there was talk about them getting out with music playing in the background, and then someone said Eugene. So I assumed that meant he came up with some other way to play music and lead the walkers away.

Also I figured that most of the walkers went into the lower level of the building, and then got stuck on the stairs, even without any other mechanism to get them to leave, they would have been inside that area in many cases anyways.

I'm just going to come in here and read everyone's theories and be more entertained than the actual show.

One thing that really hurts this show is the spoilers.

I mean Carl stuff was out there months ago.

I mean not a whole lot happens and it’s even worse when the entire plot is basically out before an episode airs.

Having said that some of this dialogue is written by 5 year olds.

Crapping his khakis ? Lol

Carl's actor didn't want off the show according to his dad.... They seem pissed and committed to another 3 years.

Not that I care, the show sucks.

When Eugene told his plan to Negan (off screen) Nehan responded that "it will take most of our ammunition", and then asked Eugene if he could make more.

So, something in Eugene's plan required a ton of ammo.
