That's good news, really enjoyed the first one. Only gripe about it was the item system. Got most of the way through it and literally never saw another upgrade to my gear. Part of the charm of these type of games (Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale) was all the unique items it had to offer.

Finished Gears 3, moved on to Dishonored 2. Really fun game, just took a bit to get going. I'm only on mission 3 but I like the freedom of approaching how you want. Reminds me of old school Deus Ex.

Slowly catching up on my backlog, hoping to get there before Mass Effect and Zelda come out, among others.

Anyone else feel that games now a days are absolute shit?

I'm not excited for anything other than Andromeda on March 21. The rest of the year has absolutely nothing that catches my eye. Need more new IP's.

AAA games? Yeah, for the most part they've become underwhelming.

Indie games? There are some truly fantastic titles released every year.

I'm not excited for anything other than Andromeda on March 21. The rest of the year has absolutely nothing that catches my eye. Need more new IP's.

Not really no. Tons of games in my backlog, I had to sell some.

I don't really play indie games.

I do agree besides Andromeda I'm not seeing a ton this year. Zelda also.

I'd say small studio PC games are in their golden age right now due to the rise of kickstarter and now fig on top of Steam. Pillars of Eternity, Banner Saga, Torment (coming out this month)...

Wow, I just looked up that Torment game. It looks amazing. I'm getting into these old school style CRPG types. Still playing through both Pillars and Tyranny right now. Honestly, there is so much going on in terms of information in those games (stats and the combat styles) that I feel like I'm not doing something correctly, but the stories and characters are so fun and the environments so freakin' beautiful (the visual style is so good...) that I'm having a blast regardless.

I'll have to add Torment to my list, that looks tight.

Does anyone know if Mass Effect 4 has a co-op on the story mode? I read there is co-op on multiplayer missions, but does that mean that those are separate from the story and you have to play the story by yourself?

I was looking for this to maybe play the story mechanics out like Destiny does where you can invite a friend or two to play the story with you or you can play it by yourself.

Wow, I just looked up that Torment game. It looks amazing. I'm getting into these old school style CRPG types. Still playing through both Pillars and Tyranny right now. I'd suggest playing through the old Planescape Torment game as well, you can probably pick it up on GOG or Steam. It holds up incredibly well, combat was horrendous even at the time but you can talk your way out of just about every battle.

Anyways, you wake up as an amnesiac who keeps coming back to life, and you quickly realize that your previous incarnations have been making their mark on the city and the people living in it. The whole thing is a journey of self-identity and reverses almost all of the typical RPG stereotypes, and I think it's probably the best written game ever made.

Yeah. I'm actually familiar with Planescape, just never really played through it and had no idea there was a spiritual successor coming out this month. Definitely interested.
