The Windhorst Tracker - (Shaq for Ben and Sasha?)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Not exactly keeping the concept of the team intact though. Didn't pheonix try this last season?

I would be very concerned if we picked up Shaq, who on earth would start? what would happen to our pretty drive and kick offense?

I don't know how I feel about this...

Ben's expiring contract would seem to be more valuable next season than even Shaq's contract that might be too massive to move. Sasha's partially guaranteed contract would seem to have much more value this offseason around draft time.

Is this a desperation deal or the final move to guarantee a championship for this season? Actually can't even call it a desperation deal since it doesn't involve Wally's huge deal that is due to expire at the end of this season. Of course I guess that means they could still deal Wally's contract today before the deadline.

Don't like the idea of giving up Ben Wallace... I know Shaq is an upgrade, but I don't think he would provide nearly the same defensive energy, nor be able to trap a PG at the top and recover like a Ben Wallace can...

Ben sets our defensive tone a lot of times... Would definitely be a chemistry shaker for sure...

Must definitely be 2009 if I'm saying I would be hesitant on bringing SHAQUILLE O'NEAL to the Cavs.. :eek:mg: :chuckles:

If this deal involves Ben, then I don't want to do it. Sasha + Wally or Wally + Snow. Otherwise, no way we should do this... this doesn't add ANY depth at the 4/5 and may even reduce depth because neither Shaq nor Z can really play the 4.

Exactly. Shaq would fit well off the bench with JJ, and Andy could start next to Z? I just don't know.

You can't play Shaq and Z together against any team other than maybe LA when they play Bynum and Gasol together.

Shaq has looked good this year though, I don't know.

Pretty big risk

ONLY pav and ben for shaq...I may hesitate but i may snatch it....IMO,we need a dominate low post threat to win it all....We ONLY give up pav and ben...i know we need ben for D,but truth is he already got dominate by gasol, bynum and dwight...We will have andy start(good defender) then put shaq(who has size) on who ever..just my opinion though

This move definitely makes sense if your'e Sarver. You save $15 or so million in payroll expenses and get below the luxury tax line. You keep your superstar player in Amare (but have fun signing him to an extension). LBJ + Shaq = Ship

If it happened with Kobe, and it happened with Wade, it HAS to happen with LBJ.

Ben and Sasha for Shaq? Where do I get that deal done?

Shaq and Ben rebound about the same at this stage of their careers, but the difference is, no team is going to leave Shaq wide open under the basket to go double Lebron in the playoffs.

I like playing AV with Shaq, and Hickson with Z. more inside/outside type of match.

the only thing I don't like about getting Shaq is it seriously limits the rotation because he and Z can't be on the floor together.

Just admit it, you don't want to see Sasha go.
