I doubt we move wally after that IF it happens....He has been playing good as of late and we need that decent bench

The point of trading Szczerbiak would be upgrading this team regardless, and especially upgrading the bench..

If we could get a starter like RJ, we would move West to the bench and improve our bench... Or heck, have RJ come off the bench..

We could get a much better bench piece then Wally, for his contract...

1. if shaq is a Cav, Shaq Starts at Center. no offense to Z, but Shaqs an all-star

2. does Shaq really ruin Chemistry? Ben is a great team guy. and we know lebron likes Sasha. But Shaq doesn't come in with an attitude problem. except for the whole shaq/kobe fued, Shaq has always been known to be a great teammate.

teammates like him, he's always joking about something or another.

we might take some time to get him acclimated but chemistry won't be an issue adding shaq

I don't think it even messes up chemistry much. Sasha seems a negative to team chemistry. Ben is so much of a whiner, that the only reason he starts over AV is because he'd pout if he was on the bench.

If we got Shaq, Z would be fine coming off the bench, because he's professional, and he's hurt a little anyways. AV would get to start, which would make him happy, and want to resign with us. And Hickson would never have to play center.

Isn't Ben part of the "Veterans committee" on the team? The more I think about it, I really, really don't like giving up Big Ben. There are other ways of getting this done. Unless Ferry has a trick up his sleeve like an RJ deal too.

Why would you move Ben before Wally? Surely Wally's contract is more attractive to Phoenix.

Also, what is at all attractive about Ben to PHX? He doesn't fit in with a run-and-gun, no defense style at all. At least Wally expires and they wouldn't have to pay Ben to sit on the bench...

Umm,...I disagree. I think you start Shaq and let Z murder the 2nd teamers. And there WILL be times you can play them together. They won't get in each other's way. Shaq low and Z around the elbows. Damn,..talk about going BIG!!!

Z has been here and produced here, but Shaq has produced better and is still a more dominant player.

and we'd actually get a more athletic starting combination at the 4/5 because Andy likely becomes your starting 4, and Shaq is your starting 5. and as many steps as shaq has lost, he still has a few more steps on Z.

I agree... but the great thing, after you get passed the whole who starts thing, is you can ride the guys that hot at the end of the game and if teams start to hack-a-shaq, you bring in Z.

the only thing I don't like about getting Shaq is it seriously limits the rotation because he and Z can't be on the floor together.

why not, Z plays mostly outside, Shaq plays in the post.

The reason Shaq didn't work in Phoenix is they had to slow their pace to incorporate him. Our pace is already slow. I really don't see the issue. We give up some defense for an upgrade on offense.
