I respectfully disagree with you. I think Wally would be bought out and return to Cleveland. I would definitely not give up Ben.

Not sure if anyone has touched on this before but if Ferry is trying to trade Ben and Sasha for Shaq then he has GOT to be saving Wally for Jefferson. Unless he has two deals in the works that he absolutely wants to pull off, he doesnt offer Ben and Sasha.

And while it's certainly true that Z was nearly an all star this year, don't forget Shaq was an all star - all star game MVP even.

Among centers Shaq is 4th in the league in PER, just under where Z was before his injury. Z is currently 9th. At this stage of their career, they both are best playing 25-30 minutes/game, so start them both, rotate one out 5-6 minutes into the half, then alternate them.

And the trade isn't for Z, it's for Ben.

Ben: 3.1 points, 6.7 rebounds, 1.45 blocks, 0.8 assists
Shaq: 17.3 points, 8.8 points, 1.48 blocks, 1.6 assists

Neither guy is the player they were, but shaq is still clearly better than ben
