It's a simple eye test. He is a 7'0" un-athletic big, with low IQ, who is as slow, if not slower than Brook Lopez. Lopez can make up with his deficiencies my having an actual decent post game, and an outside shot. Something Zizic does not have, and will not have. Almost everything Zizic has done so far has been clean-up with the 2nd unit, in blow out games, no farther then 3 feet from the basket. In this league, you are either an athletic big who can jump, or an un-athletic big who can space. He is neither.

I'm not sure you can get anyone on this board to 2nd this assessment of him. He is decently athletic, and saying he won't ever have any outside shots is ridiculous as he just turned 21 years old. He's a baby still.

dude Zizic is a young player from overseas. Give him at least until mid-next season before doing comparisons. geez.

He is probably the best legal screens setter in the NBA. Other good screeners like Adams and Gortat just set illegal screens.

Zizics wide body, not just the shoulders, but his chest and wide hips along with his wide stance and terrific screening angles make him one of the better legal screeners I have seen. This is just a huge asset in itself.

You pair him with an elite Isolation scorer/high efficiency PnR scorer and you already have a great offense. With his improving post game and size teams wouldn't be able to switch the picks and would have to adjust on the fly. Kyrie and him together in high PnR would have been pretty tough to stop.

Too bad Isaiah was garbage here on and off the court , couldn't work out with Lebron and was not on schedule. Think they would have been a fine fit offensively.

Played 7 mins in the first half, scored 7 points and only played 6:30 minutes in garbage time in the second half. Go figure bro.

Pigeonholing a 20 y/o rookie with 1st round pedigree is just idiotic.

My guess is you simply haven’t ever done your research on him.

He fits directly in to a clear mold of successful European Centers that dominated overseas in their “draft and stash” year. He has multiple real skills that translate well into the NBA.

If you put Ante on a bad team for 36 minutes a night you’d probably see a high shooting% double double machine. Now, he has no business playing that much right now...BUT he’d still have a productive box score.

He has great fundamentals in all aspects, is strong, is athletic enough, wonderful touch, good hands, good IQ, legit post moves, can pick and roll and probably even pop to 15 feet if given the chance. He’s gonna be a successful NBA player. He even has flashes sometimes that indicate his ceiling is extremely high.

He's now shooting 71.4%, and it's starting to look like that's no accident.

Those back to the basket/low post moves of his are very hard to stop if he gets decent position. He uses his size and length really well down low.
