Theoretically Ante Zizic

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Wait, isn’t what he’s saying that currently Zicic is a third or fourth big on a contending team now? When healthy, Wolf he get more minutes or start over Nance/Love? Over Capela/Anderson? Over Valunciunas/Ibaka? Over Turner/Sabonis? Over Embiid/Saric?

So unless I’m misunderstanding, he’s simply saying that as of now, he’s a 3rd or 4th big on a contending team, but that maybe in a few years with experience and development he could be more than that.

And if so, I’ll Im struggling to understand why he got so many dislikes.
Doesn’t support a certain someone’s agenda. Don’t follow the herd you get labeled the black sheep. I’ve watched 40 years of basketball with my own two eyes to know when I see something very special or just another guy who should do okay in the NBA . There’s nothing wrong being the 3rd or 4th bigman on a contending team . Hot Rod Williams made a living doing so for several years . Varejao as well who only started 25% of games played and surpassed original expectations .

Zizic with worst +/- against the hapless Bulls . He’s stil few years away from being anything more than a 3-4th big on a contending team .

I guess the homers believe Zizic is better than Hot Rod Williams who was shuffled to the bench once Nance arrived and didn’t start again till he was 30. Better than AV who didn’t start until he was 28. On contending teams . Don’t get me wrong , I believe Zizic is starter material on a bottom dwelling tankathon team all day long . Which could be the Cavs if LeBron bolts and Love is traded .

Third big on a true championship contender is a good player! Loving what I'm seeing from Zizic, a breath of fresh air after TT.

Homerism at its finest. He could say he is the next Wilt Chamberlain, and it wouldn't get any dislikes on here. Maybe a few Funny's...

Zizic has 3 very useful skills. he can score inside, he sets a mean screen and he moves into rebounding position while the ball is in flight. If he can continue to grow into a solid rebounder and improve his ability to defend in space then i think he becomes part of the rotation next season. Always need bigs who can catch and finish next to lebron

No. He said "He’s stil few years away from being anything more than a 3-4th big on a contending team".

That means in a few years Zizic's ceiling is being a 3-4th big on a contender.

It's a completely bullshit take. The guy is a shit poster.

Holy hell what an awful take.

A few years away from being a fourth big on a contender? Using only +/- from ONE game when the guy has a 22.6 PER, 71.0 TS%, 7.2 BLK%, and per-36 numbers of 18 PPG, 11 RPG, and 3 BPG?

You have him being a few years away from being nothing more than 4th big on a contender when he's doing all of that at 21, is oozing potential, and is playing with LeBron James, the guy that turned J.J. fucking stonehands Hickson into an NBA guy?

Jesus, I try to respect people's opinions and views on here, because trust me, there are a lot of people on here I don't agree with but I still respect, but actually get outta here with that garbage. Just lazy and uneducated analysis.

Sorry, but you're misreading what he wrote. He did not say "he's a few years away from being a 3rd or 4th big," which is how you're interpreting his statement. He said he's a few years away from being anything more than a 3rd or 4th big.

In other words, he's not a starter right now, but may be in a few years. Until then, he's a 3rd or 4th big.

That's a reasonable take. My only hope is that Lue (and LBJ) see him as better than TT. Unfortunately, I think they'll both support TT over Zizic.

He's a good backup big right now, as a rookie. I have no idea what his ceiling is, he is solid at a lot of things but doesn't appear to have any transcendent skills to become a star, but I'm really enjoying watching the nuts and bolts of the center position played right for a change. He has a very good basketball IQ, a mean streak, good enough hands so he can catch and finish. It should be fun next year when he is hopefully in true NBA shape to play some more minutes and sustain his intensity every minute he is in there.

If you're his size, you don't need transcendent skills to be a star. You need a bunch of good skills.

He doesn't really have superstar potential, but if he continues to work on his skills, I could see him as an all star in 4-5 years.
