Theoretically Ante Zizic

Hubie Brown was loving him some Zizic tonight. The BIG croation. He even asked at one point why we havent been playing him all year. Funny how outsiders can see the obvious in 2 quarters of basketball what's taken Lue 60 games and a dozen injuries.

We would still need a new coach, and Bron would have to eventually become either a playmaker or a scorer, but not both, and maybe commit to defense.

But if Love can stay healthy and settle into his role, we can draft or trade for a superstar, and Zizic, Nance, Hood, and Clarkson turn out to be way better than expected, we have the raw materials that a real coach could use to contend for years. Even better if we can unload JR and TT for guys who can actually play.

Still might. Lue already showed with Frye he will play his guys no matter what. Bench unit was rolling and the minute TT got cleared, Frye rides pine.

I hope it doesn’t happen but seems inevitable.

Fuck rotation. He should be STARTING! He's averaging 10 a game, playing just 15 fuckin' minutes a night for the last 5 games, while majority of our front line is out!!!!

Tell me, how fucked up things are here. When you're missing two of your rotational players up front. Don't have a center to begin with.

This guy is fucking balling, but can't even play 20 minutes a game, despite playing really fucking well.

I'm sorry Lue is sick, but his entire coaching staff is making ME and every Cavalier sick, too.

This is unreal. Who the fuck knows how good he'd be already, if he was under an actual NBA coaching staff, and not a bunch of clowns.
 
I hope he develops into a younger Second Coming of Mozgod. All the tools are there.

10-15 minutes at true game speed conditions him. Sitting on the bench doesn't. That's the point.

Was Ante perhaps ready to go in real NBA action by mid season? Probably? He’s gotten better each game.

All I’m saying is that these are not coaching crimes against humanity. These are not young players who were buried for 2-3 years. This is the way that almost all non lottery rookies are brought along by the vast coaches on playoff teams are integrated. And they’re not kids who when put into the game looked clueless so clearly they had been coached and prepped decently(yes, some of both Ante and Cedi’s strength are just instinctual)

And probably most importantly, if Cedi and Ante can both reach what their peak levels appear to be, is it not a testament and good sign to the eye for Koby Altman or someone in the Cavs front office?

Specifically to Ante though, great game against a really long team. It is a team though for all its length though that is consistently pushed around by other front courts. Good to see Ante more than hold his own though and excited to have his cheap cost effective rights for another 4 seasons beyond this one.

I'll just say that Lue's eye for talent and development would still have Zizic at 1-2 mpg, and even that only in garbage time, if TT hadn't been injured. Circumstances, not sound judgment, is why he's finally getting minutes.

Drew said Zizic deserves playing time and getting TT back will require some juggling but it’s a “good problem” to have. What?!? The solution is to eliminate TT since we’ll have a legit 3 big rotation with occasional small ball mixed in instead of heavily relied on. TT can be an emergency big with Zizic coming off the bench for Nance (I think we should start Zizic personally but that’s too big of a leap for this coaching staff)
 
Really sad we might finally have the right starting lineup, but won't ever see it.

Zizic/Love/LeBron/Hood/Hill.

You'd finally have length at all positions, something we've lacked all season long.

Part of the reason, definitely not all of it, is that guys like Love and LeBron have been playing out of position for lot of the season.

TT has been a disaster defending the 5. Love, I think is respectful defensively at the 4, isn't very good defending the 5.

Just length alone, we'd be better. Far from perfect. I know Hood has struggled, but can't think wouldn't be a little better. He's still 6-8 and can be more aggressive knowing there's size at the back end.

God, I'd love to see that lineup once. And just cut Tristan out of the rotation. Fuck him.

I don't even think he should play when he comes back. There's no fit. He makes us worse. There's no argument why Tristan should play at this point. Nothing. Zero. We are worse on both ends of the floor when he's out there.

Love and Zizic would man the middle better, and provide better defensive rebounding. LeBron can go back to playing that free safety roamer that he likes to play.

It can help, I think. Nance, Green, Korver, and Clarkson off the bench.

Cedi and TT are emergency rotational players if someone gets injured.

Fuck, that should be our rotation.

EDIT: Forgot JR, but yeah, I think he should be cut out of the rotation too.

There's only so many guys you can play. Getting tired of this 5 guard rotation.

Enough is enough... Once everyone is healthy, do us a favor, and move JR to the bench, permanently.
