Zizic is a legit prospect.

I think he could contribute this year simply because we saw how good LeBron made Timo Mozgov look. The LeBron factor is huge.

Dude was far from just a throw in. Yes he was given to make the salaries match, but any minimum salary guy could have been the throw in.

My guess is that the Cavs wanted Zizic instead of a second first round pick(would have been one of Boston's own firsts certain to be in the 25-30 range),and eventually Boston gave in.

Boston's frontcourt is so bad and so thin, this was a legitimate concession for them in the deal. This guy has real value around the league.

Vets are going to screw his playing time. RJ will play the 4 along with Crowder at times, Frye will play the 5 so where is the PT going to come from?

With Zizic and Tavares (providing we hold onto them), Frye should never play the 5. Never again. Fireable offense for Lue moving forward.

I'm intrigued with him but this particular video and a couple others I've seen just leaves me a bit underwhelmed...

All I keep seeing is this guy dive to the basket on dribble penetration and clogging the lane...

I've yet to see any face up game/pick and pop whatsoever. Just back to the basket and one dribble move in which he shows nice touch around the basket.. I've also not seen anything that would suggest he's not a black hole when he catches the ball in the post as well. No interior post passing is seen at all in most of these...

Not suggesting he doesn't have these things in his game it's just not what pops out or seen on these videos...

Everything suggests this guy catches the ball with his back to the basket and makes one move and puts the ball up.... Which is fantastic for 1987.....

He seems pretty skilled for a young big but he's certainly not overly athletic or all that strong finishing around the rim..

IDK what you're watching as far as how he finishes. What I see is he clears everyone out using his strength so he isn't required to jump out of the gym to finish. He's strong as fuck and he gives himself plenty or room to get his shots off. He shoots around and through guys, not over them. And for somebody as strong as he is he is very coordinated with excellent feet and hands. Actually Kevin Love could learn a few things about footwork and using the upper body to create space from this guy.

He will never become anything more than an end of the bench player in the NBA.

Actually Moz wasn't that great of a rebounder. He was extremely big with exceptional athletic ability at his size and he could really finish.
