This is crazy, but I want Iverson.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Thanks for making my point...Their star player Hamilton was not happy and Iverson was not a team guy so they asked him not to play. I never said Iverson was a problem in the locker room or off the court, I said he is not a team player, he only cares about Allen Iverson the player. Also, thanks again for making my point when I said they screwed themselves by trading for Iverson and when I compared the Nuggets record to the Pistons...

Getting a player...A TEAM PLAYER for the BAE...yeah thats a steal absolutely, but not when his name is Allen Iverson. Mo Williams is our 18/5 guy, we have LeBron James, we do not need the cancerous Allen Iverson.

Anyone who thinks we can straighten Iverson out and get him to understand his role is a joke, not even Phil Jackson and Kobe Bryant can get through to Iverson. Im also readin Iverson still wants to be a starter...sounds to me like the same old Allen Iverson

Who ever said Iverson wasn't a team guy in his time in Detroit? Is Rip not a team guy because he said he didn't want to come off the bench? A.I didn't put himself in Detroit where there was always going to be a logjam of guards. He didn't ask to be traded from Denver where I'm sure he was happy being a starter. He was forced into a reduced role that he didn't want to accept because he has the talent to be a starter easily. He got traded because of his contract, it isn't his fault he was the wrong player in the wrong situation. Let's face it, Detroit wasn't going to do much with or without him. I think we all knew the Pistons screwed themselves by trading for Iverson. They could have traded Billups for Mo and they would have been just as bad off.

Obviously we've all read the report that says he still wants to be a starter, which is probably why he's trying for the Memphis gig. Whatever, I don't care. I didn't have my hopes up for getting him. I was simply saying that if he were to come here for the B.A.E and come off the bench, that would be a pretty good deal.

How many teams are showing interest in him??? None... HE'S begging to play for Memphis, so don't act like people who don't want him here are ignorant.

He is a great individual player, I'm sure he could do well on playgrounds, but no team is willing to let him run their franchise. It's that simple.

What owner/gm/staff lets a player "run" their organization? Where has that EVER occurred? Teams aren't showing interest in him, or because it's not being reported you just assume NO team are interested in him? To me if you're saying that a single player can come to cleveland and RUIN our franchise, well quiet frankly, you're telling me that the leadership/ownership is terrible, and its not. Dan gilbert can run a multi-billion dollar company, but the "cancer" AI will be the fall of Dan Gilbert? Give me a break. Like i said, get over yourselves AI didn't "ruin" any franchise.

I'm not saying AI is the answer (pun intended) to cleveland's or any other teams problems for that matter, but if he's there for the BAE and you don't take him, you need to be medicated.

And you are on ignore after 4 posts. Good work.

Oh lord, that's a total catastrophe, what in the world am i ever going to if the most arrogant person in all of Cleveland refuses to talk to me anymore? It's a shame that you're even living to be honest. I along with the rest of the world can only hope that you're sterile and can't further contaminate the world with ignorant, white trash filth. You my retarded friend are the epitome of internet trash. But then again, how can we expect you to be a productive member of society when you have half of a brain?

A 22 page thread on Allen Iverson...

Glad to see this hectic offseason and constant inflow of new members hasn't affected quality standards.

This is a classic post...accuse a guy for contaminating the world with "ignorant, white trash filth" and then you proceed to call someone you probably don't even know a retard and internet trash and accuse him of having half a brain. CLASSIC!

How can you accuse a guy of all that and then go and stoop to the same level of the things you are accusing him of being? He has half a brain? If you had a whole brain you would have known not to get so personal and call a guy out like that, so I guess your half a brain is not anymore perfect then his.

anyway, continue you on

Is this a real post or are you just looking for attention? Iverson would be a terrible fit for this team. Trust me you would be so tired of his constant tirades you would want him gone in a weels time. This guy is the perfect fit for a team just trying to get by because cooperating with a team who is serious about wanting to win a championship just have nothing in comon with each other. Please do not mention him and the Cavaliers in the same sentence EVER AGIAN!!!! Unless it's a game preview.

He may well be a terrible fit for this team, no one is debating that fact. My argument along with the others that will argue this point is that for the BAE he is worth the risk. At best you get 20/5 and at worst you lose 2 mil. Even at this stage of his career he still creates a ton of match-up problems on the offensive end and while his defense is subject at best, if he plays limited minuets hes not going to kill your defensive strategies.

Iverson has been humbled a bit. He realizes that interest in him is low and that he's in for a severe pay cut. But he's also motivated. His mentality right now is that he'll take a one-year deal, play his butt off to re-establish himself as an elite player, and then cash in next summer.

See, I'd say he would be great. I don't know what everyone's deal is with this guy.

He just said a few days ago, he would retire rather than come off the bench.

Yeah he's hungry though.

Ok, a mod can lock this now that we got Parker, its very unlikely that we go for AI. Even though the chances were slim to begin with.

Considering our bench got outscored by Michael Pietrus alone in the ECF's, Iverson might not be the most terrible idea after all. I for one thinks this team needs a scorer, an aggressive offensive presence who can score when our starters are resting. Iverson may not go for it but our bench has shown it does not have anyone who can create their own shots. And besides Lebron, there is only a handful of players in the nba that can get to the rim as effectively as A.I and with the way our team is comprised with shooters, he may actually be a pretty useful offensive weapon. Some games, when he's on and the Cavs go small,, he can close out games with Lebron and Mo and be a third scoring option. I would love to see A.I here for the Bi level Exception and be the Pietrus our team so desperately needs... Everyone is writing him off and he still averaged 17 a game last year. And the biggest thing to me is... he didn't play with Lebron James who creates double teams and is a terrific passer. Everything a scorer needs in a teammate to be succesful. Risk vs reward. I'll go with a little risk at the bi level for the potential reward that can result to our bench.
