This is crazy, but I want Iverson.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
It's ok, we can just bring Mo off the bench.

It doesn't matter than Williams is a better player than AI....if AI wants to start, he should.

He was an All-Star.

I think my sarcasm detector just broke.

Let's face the fact. AI is the better individual player.. Mo is the better team player. Mo is a much better fit with LeBron than AI will ever be. Do you honestly want a selfish player who demands the ball at all times, and a player who doesn't move without it? He is a creator for himself, not the team. Sure Iverson can score a bunch by himself, but how does that benefit other players? It doesn't. Championships are won by a team.. Therefore, Iverson is not the answer, especially not for us. There is a reason why he is interested in playing with Memphis. And if you haven't already, you should look at this.

The pistons didn't ask him to play because Rip was unhappy coming off the bench, and frankly they weren't going anywhere anyway. Iverson didn't cause any problems in the locker room in Detroit. Go find me an article stating that Iverson was ever a problem there. You can't, because he wasn't. The Pistons doomed themselves by trading Billups for him in the first place, and Iverson simply became everyone's scapegoat. If you could get an 18/5 player for the B.A.E (roughly 2 million a year), yeah, I would call that a steal.

Thanks for making my point...Their star player Hamilton was not happy and Iverson was not a team guy so they asked him not to play. I never said Iverson was a problem in the locker room or off the court, I said he is not a team player, he only cares about Allen Iverson the player. Also, thanks again for making my point when I said they screwed themselves by trading for Iverson and when I compared the Nuggets record to the Pistons...

Getting a player...A TEAM PLAYER for the BAE...yeah thats a steal absolutely, but not when his name is Allen Iverson. Mo Williams is our 18/5 guy, we have LeBron James, we do not need the cancerous Allen Iverson.

Anyone who thinks we can straighten Iverson out and get him to understand his role is a joke, not even Phil Jackson and Kobe Bryant can get through to Iverson. Im also readin Iverson still wants to be a starter...sounds to me like the same old Allen Iverson

Can we just lock this up? No intelligent fan is going to want to bring Allen "franchise killer" Iverson to the team.

Iverson is NEVER going to win a championship on any team. At this point in his career he would have to be a role player and we saw what happened last year...he's incapable of accepting a lesser role on a team. The only reason any team will want him at this point is to sell tickets, not win championships.

Ignorant statement, Philly loved and adored AI....He was a headcase, yeah... but did nothing but good things for that organization. Ive been following this thread pretty closely the last couple of days because i think there are some productive arguments and points being made. However if you wouldn't consider A.I for the BAE then you're crazy. He's a headcase, yeah.. but ill take his 18/5 on an off year over ron ron running into stands laying fans out. And anyone that says Mo is even close to as talented as AI are delusional, AI is one of the most talented people to ever play this game.

He's not taking a hypothetical BAE.

Hell, we can't even be sure if he'll play somewhere for something close to mid-level or even more, simply because 'coming off the bench' would be so distasteful he'd rather retire.

Talented? Sure. Loads. Does that translate to anything else if you don't humble yourself to become a better player by being a teammate, and something besides 'the center of the team'?

I never said or implied he would consider signing for the BAE. I simply stated that he IS worth the BAE contrary to other people's thoughts. I never said he was a great fit either, just making a point that he is exponentially more talented than MO.

let me make myself clear here....

AI is a headcase, he might look out for himself more than his team at times as well.

AI does NOT make us instant ship winners

AI IS STILL one of the most talented players in the game

AI IS worth the BAE every day of the week regardless of the "chemistry" problems some think he might cause, get over yourselves, AI is amazingly gifted and can take over a game the same way lebron can, a guy that had an OFF YEAR (half year :p) and still averaged 18/5... if you wouldn't pay roughly 2 million for a guy of iversons stature then you're crazy.

AI will take the BAE for sure. That is exactly what Miami is offering him, and what he is considering from a couple other teams. Only team I have heard willing to offer more is Memphis and they may not even be interested.

Like I said, bringing him in for the BAE as a second option either off the bench or starting could only help us.

There is absolutely no way Allen Freakin Iverson is signing for the BAE. Just forget about it.

Die thread, die!

How many teams are showing interest in him??? None... HE'S begging to play for Memphis, so don't act like people who don't want him here are ignorant.

He is a great individual player, I'm sure he could do well on playgrounds, but no team is willing to let him run their franchise. It's that simple.
