Yeah, I think that's why it won't happen... But I also don't know how true that rumor is.

I don't think that's a particularly strong reason (the fact that he and LBJ don't get along probably makes more sense?)

He's 32 and not getting younger
He's on a huge contract
Charlotte is lottery bound and not going anywhere.
OTOH, Charlotte is not rebuilding, they have too many expensive pieces for that. Most of their talent is 26-28.
TT is 26-28 and has a few decent years left.

I think that part makes sense from Charlotte's point of view.

If I'm remembering correctly, Lebron and Bazemore have gotten into it a few times. Always thought Bazemore was on the tougher side which would be great at the SG position for the playoffs since JR has turned into a wet flapping vagina.

I love the George deal but he wont be traded mid season.

Lebron is too smart not to see that only Boogie or PG13 can make a difference against the Warriors this year. Roster moves denying that will not make Lebron more likely to stay.​

I think this is one of those times one has to be a realist and accept it may not be possible to improve the team by the trade deadline in a way that makes a meaningful difference against the Warriors. Koby persuading Lebron to stay would go like this, "You and I both know that Presti is playing hardball with Paul George and improving this team at the margins isn't enough against the Warriors. Leverage is everything in trade negotiations and we have a better chance to get another championship if we prioritize 2019 over 2018. If Presti gives us Paul George for Kevin Love before the deadline, great, if not, that's okay too. Lebron-PG13-Brooklyn pic will be the foundation for being a contender in 2019-2020-2021. We'll trade Love while his value is the highest it's ever going to be. Whenever we trade Love we can start Tristan so he'll be motivated to lose weight which will bring his trade value back up. If IT gets his legs under him we might be able to get something decent for him before the deadline."

Does Lebron still like Josh Jackson? His value is not what it once was and maybe Lebron is interested in what Lebron and Korver could do with JJ instead of that Phoenix organization.

Id part with our first for Bazemore and try to get Dedmon in the deal too...maybe throwing in that Heat second or even Zizic.

Bazemore is a really good defensive 2 guard who can also guard 1s and 3s well and can hit threes. He’s probably a bit overpaid but hes good, young, and plays hard. If we inserted Bazemore into JRs spot from day 1 I bet we would be at least 30-13 if not better.


As for Dwight...no we have enough locker room issues as it is without him whining about getting inefficient post touches.

Only guy on Charlotte I’d really want is Batum because Kemba would cost too much. Batum could probably be had for Shump+Frye, and then I’d trade TT for the best C I can find. Would be a huge hit to Dans wallet but it’s one way to potentially add a high level player for cheap if Batum can start playing well.

I would love to have batum. I’ve been wanting him for a while. He can do everything and guard 1-4. Only problem is his inconstant shooting and injury issues. He’s worth his contract when healthy. He does some many little things that help.

He’s very available. If Dan were willing to take the monetary risk I bet we could get him cheap. It’d be something I would strongly consider personally.
