Trade Deadline - Feb 8 at 3:00 EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I don’t know how impactful this is but in 8 out of their 9 losses Klay has had terrible shooting games. The only loss that can’t be attributed to him was agains Detroit where he shot 12/19 from the field.

I remember Shump (when he played defense) put the clamps on Klay pretty good in the 2015 finals. We need that guy back in the worst way.

I mean, sure.

If only we had Wade from 2 years ago, JR from 2 years ago, TT from 2 years ago, etc.

But we don't have a time machine. Therefore it's time to move on from some of these players if we have the chance. (Not Wade, of course. He's been great for us.)

If we had a time machine, it’d be Wade from 2009, JR from two years ago, and we take Kawhi instead of TT with the fourth pick. :chuckle:

Even if we took Kawhi he’d just be shit for us, what player has Cleveland developed?

Hey ,new to the forum ohio native .My take on the cavs .I cant recall a more inconsistent rebounding and shooting team ever that are contenders .Cold shooting JR Smith has to be benched or traded ,Tristan Thompson ,Iman Shumpert (which I like his intensity but average accuracy ) Cidi Osman ? Cant shoot a lick and in my opinion isnt the answer for anything Korver has been inconsistent feel he needs to start in place of JR to try and spark this team some ,probobly their best shooter if he gets it goin. They need a rim protector rebounder ,and a scorer like Lou Williams ...... Demarcus Cousins please .There is something terribly wrong here and it has to point at Lue in the end .Injuries some but defense night in night out .Fire him !And need at least 2 maybe 3 trades or they wont make it out of the east .IMO

This is the year Portland will break up the potent backcourt of Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum: The Blazers don’t want to trade either one, especially when they awoke Wednesday ranked seventh in the league in defensive efficiency despite the annual external skepticism about the pairing’s capabilities at that end of the floor. But the easiest path to balancing the roster is by parting with one of their two guards — most likely McCollum — for a package headlined by a frontcourt player on their level. No one’s suggesting it’ll happen before the Feb. 8 trade deadline, but Portland’s latest so-so season threatens to be the impetus that finally pushes the longtime Blazers owner Paul Allen in a new direction.

Don't we have a front-court player on CJ's level making nearly the same salary? If so, I'd swap them straight-up then I'd trade for Nikola Vucevic who averages 0.3 less rb per game then said front-court player who he would be replacing.

Thanks for clearing all that up.

Just here this out for a second and yes, I know it will never happen:

DAL - Tristan Thompson
DAL - Iman Shumpert

POR - Isaiah Thomas
POR - Channing Frye's Expiring
POR - Brooklyn Pick

CLE - Damian Lillard
CLE - Wes Matthews
CLE - Nerlens Noel

Cleveland's Lineup

PG - Damian Lillard
SG - Wes Matthews
SF - LeBron James
PF - Kevin Love
C - Nerlens Noel

With Dame locked up for 4 years, LBJ would sign off and commit.

Cuban said they'll only take on salary like that for picks and/or young players.

Dallas has a ton of cap room. I like the idea of trading them Tristan + Clev 1st and then getting back a 16M TPE that we could then use to shop.

Then in a separate trade we could absorb Noel into our Kyrie Irving TPE.

As for your Portland deal, not sure why they would ever do that. I'd rather swap Kevin Love for CJ straight-up.

How are you getting Vucevic for JR and Ante?? Are you sending draft picks.?

I like it. Then just flip JR Smith and a 2nd round pick for Anthony Davis and we'll be all set.
