Trade Deadline - Feb 8 at 3:00 EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I'm actually open to trading anyone other than Lebron and Wade. I hate hearing that we're going to stay pat, or that we're not moving the BKN pick, that kind of talk just angers me. You have Lebron in his prime here and the team around him is playing like garbage and you're not going to do anything about it? He's totally going to walk. Then we'll be stuck with a bunch of average old guys and Kevin Love and start missing the playoffs while still having a massive payroll and some young kid we just picked with the 8 overall pick. Go for a championship and potentially keep Bron? Or stand pat and get smoked?

Everyone knows how to beat the Cavs, just play some defense and you have a great chance to win because we don't play it. Flipping the switch is so lame and it's everyone's go-to excuse for how we look right now but my goodness, last night we got annihilated by Minnesota. It's time to have a little pride out there. This team is just not even interested in competing in the regular season. It's just really frustrating to watch a team this good on paper stink so bad.

I'd trade for a star center in a heartbeat. Even on an expiring. It's now or a long wait for our next ring.

And for those angry about me suggesting we trade Love, we made it to the finals and gave the Warriors a real run for their money with Lebron and a bunch of guys hustling and playing defense so we're very far away from the 'formula' that we know we need. Kyrie and Lebron's heroics won us our title. Chances are we will never win again but not knowing if adding a piece like DJ could have put us over the top isnt a thought I want to have.

We need more players that play hard, go after loose balls, box out, and hustle on D. Even if it means sacrificing some talent. Too many players on the roster accept getting beat off the dribble, getting out rebounded, not getting back on D, and not coming up with the 50/50 balls.

IT might be the only player in the starting lineup that plays with passion outside of the playoffs. Then you can add lebron. Thats why i dont mind giving someone a shot to the chin when they are beating you by 30 cause you aren't happy about it. At least it shows me you care.

Passion is contagious too. If you have a guy like beverly killing himself to guard the ball it cause everyone else to step up. Maybe them knowing LeBron is coasting doesn't help.

As musch as I dont like draymond you have to admit he brings it and plays with a chip on his shoulder that won't allow him to be outworked by the guy across from him. He's not super talented of very athletic but gets everything by determination. We need this

OKC now losing two straight. Pretty mediocre team: real tempting to hold off on trades to as close to the deadline as you can to see if George becomes available. Real hard to imagine if they're hovering around .500 saddled with Melo that they're going to be able to keep him in the offseason.

Right now I'm hoping for Bazemore and Jordan but George is still the dream and the only guy I'd be willing to move the Brooklyn pick for

This board is bleaker than Lebron's mid-winter blues.

“Well everyone was talking like, ‘Hey, this is not Playoff LeBron.’ Usually LeBron gives you about 60 percent. He’s about 80 percent LeBron and it’s looking effortless so pretty scary,” Frye said. “This is 80 percent engagement. He’s engaged on offense and defense."

This is par for the course around this time of year. LeBron gets bored and is not engaged much particularly on the defensive side on most nights. Other guys will naturally take his lead, and it gets ugly for a stretch of games. We struggled w/ the inclusion of Korver and DWill into our lineups last year, so there needs to be an adjustment period for IT who essentially feels like a mid-season acquisition as well. No question about a lack of professional pride being our main culprit. Physical limitation on defense is one thing but lack of effort (man-to-man defense, help + recover..) is disconcerting.

JR looks washed and we're a .500 team when TT plays. Start there and see what happens

Bulls cannot tank hard enough with Mirotic, and he is on the table probably for cheap. I don't watch the Bulls enough to know his game well, but on paper he is long at 6' 10", shoots 3's, plays decent D and get rebounds. Why aren't the Cavs interested?

On Chicago's realgm forum their users are always posting trades for Mirotic and our BK pick :chuckle:

I looked at when this article was posted and it was the beginning of December. It definitely looked like LeBron was giving 80% then, but now it looks a lot more like 35%.

Because he's Kevin Love 2.0 ....

With that said you have several teams rumored to be in pursuit of Mirotic - Pistons, Blazers, Jazz ... logic tells me these same teams would be just as if not more interested in Love. Bulls asking price is a 1st rd pick.

Why don't we shop Love for the same + young player and starter to make salaries match. Then flip that 1st for Deandre Jordan?

Something like...

KL for T. Harris (43% on 3s this season) + Stanley Johnson + Det 1st?

Then flip TT + Frye + two 1sts for DJ?

OR

KL for Favors + Burks + Utah 1st?

Then flip TT + Frye + two 1sts for DJ?

OR

KL for CJ McCollum straight-up

Then we trade our Clev 1st for Mirotic

For the Thunder to fall out, they would need to get dropped 5 games in the standings to fall all the way to the Jazz. I don't see the Jazz making it in & I don't see the Thunder falling all the way out.

Call up the bucks and ask them to do Rose and Frye for Delly haha we need his Defense and energy

last 3 games for DJ
  • 26 Points / 17 rebounds
  • 15 points / 11 rebounds
  • 25 points / 18 rebounds
WOW! would be a massive upgrade on TT! lets go get DJ!!!!

Who else is going to score on that roster?

I do agree that he would be an upgrade over TT but if you look at his +/- against GS over the years, you won't like what you see. He's also about to hit 30, which scares me because his entire game relies on his athleticism.

Trading for him would be a win now move and i'd be hesitant to move Cedi in a deal like that.
