Trade Deadline - Feb 8 at 3:00 EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I hope we go for hill+kofus. I’d love wcs but I’m sure he’s out of the question.

As I mentioned in another thread, I'm assuming that's the goal. And I'd love to trade for Avery Bradley. Could you imagine a starting 5 of Hill, Bradley, LeBron, Love and Koufos? I don't know if we'd keep IT but I'd move him to the bench and have the bench as IT, Wade, JR, Crowder and Green... Give up Frye, Tristan, Shump and Zizic. I'd actually rather give up IT and keep Frye to be honest. Though I'm sure Jae would be PISSED. I bet IT is already pretty peeved hearing there's interest in a point guard. I do not think Hill will work as our starting 2 defensively, especially if he also has to make up for IT.

we shouldn’t have to even give up our first for him. This should be considered a salary dump. Take Shump and Frye. I hate to give up frye but lue won’t play him anyway.

For the love of God, please stop asking for Kosta Koufus. He has been a favorite of this board for way too long and a shitty NBA player when given meaningful minutes.

LOL Hill's 31. Of course we'd be interested in him, rather than going after somebody younger.

Kemba is available and signed through next year. They also are trying to get rid of Batum.

We gotta take advantage of this.

Yes please.

Yep he is fucking ideal.. honestly I'd take him over Jordan or Kemba to start just because we shouldn't have to give up any significant pieces for him

This is Batum's contract. 2020-2021 is a player option.

I’d rather have Batum and his contract than TT and his. Especially if it can also land us Kemba. Batum’s game obviously fits great with us.

I'm not sure where the love for George Hill is coming from.....he's been pretty terrible this year, plays the game in slow motion, and where is the fit?

Does that mean we're done with Rose? How do you fit IT3, Hill, and Rose into the line-up? Would they really consider playing Hill at the 2G?

It's a weird fit to me.......and man, Hill really shrunk against the Warriors last year as a member of the Jazz, prior to injury. Hill has always seemed like a guy who gets extremely overwhelmed in the big moments to me. Granted, he'd be asked to be much more of a role player in CLE, but I still don't like it.

Doesn’t matter who we sign. As long as Ty Lue is here, with ZERO offensive/defensive system, terrible rotations and adjustments, it won’t matter.

1.) He's a career 39% 3PT shooter who is hitting 3s this year at a crazy 45% on a bad team.

2.) He's a career +defender, and can guard SGs.

3.) We have JR Smith as our starting SG.

He's still shooting 46% from 3....and he was 6th in DRPM for point guards just last year. His defensive stats this year can easily be attributed to playing for the worst organization in the NBA.

Actually think Hill is a really really good fit here. Shouldn't cost much asset wise. And his contract will be a $19 million expiring this summer if things don't work out (2019/2020 only guaranteed 1 million)

Shrunk against the Warriors? That's really really harsh...lol...He got hurt in game 1.

In that game he had 7 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists in 27 minutes. Shot 3-9 from the floor....sure it wasn't a good game...but it was game 1 on the road against the best team of all team, lol.

He shot 40% from 3 in the playoffs and averaged like 16-4-4 and played great D. 17-5 and 22-5 in games 5 and 6 against the Clippers. Sign me the fuck up.

Before acquiring Hill I'd be much more inclined to fix the rotations....it's what any competent Head Coach and GM would try.

There is zero reason Dwayne Wade should be coming off the bench with IT3 starting at PG. IT3 spaces the court enough to let Wade work his craft in the mid-range, and it puts another excellent wing ball-handler on court that can exploit late rotations.

With Rose back, you absolutely move JR Smith to the second unit and pair Rose with his floor spacing.

I'm giving that a go for at least 4-5 games just to see what it looks like before pulling trigger on Hill.

But this team is so incompetent at doing really basic things, such as how to maximize players strengths by putting them in optimal line-up construction.
