Trade Ideas 23-24

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Cam Johnson, Royce, and the 2025 Suns unprotected 1st for Donovan Mitchell. Who says no?

I think the Cavs would need to get more back, but that's some form of foundation to look at.

Switch Bridges for Johnson and I'd think about it. If those are the players, though, I need TWO more FRPs.

No, switch Thomas for Johnson, and add Bridges or Simmons, and give them Okoro/LeVert.

I have next to zero interest in Cam Thomas, especially as an undersized guard thats gonna need a big contract soon and plays *slightly* better defense than I do. I'd be thrilled to get BOTH Bridges and Johnson, though, if it means not giving up DG, Evan, JA, CPJ, Emoni, draft picks or draft-and-stash guys...

Everything you hated about sexton, cam Thomas does but with somehow worse d and playmaking

They should, but BKN won’t move Bridges for Mitchell or attach picks.

At this point, I miss @JJ_PR 's trades. Can we have another?
I've been reading some ideas, & while I'm not a fan of trading Mitchell, one I saw is somewhat intriguing.

Cavs get: Tyler Herro, Jamie Jacquez, Nikola Jovic, '27 & '29 unprotected & '28 & '30 swaps.
Heat get: Donovan Mitchell & Sam Merrill

I'm not sure what to think of the Mitchell situation. I read somewhere that we can't offer him the supermax, which means keeping him past this season is a little risky.

Why not get jimmy

Why not get jimmy
Jimmy would be a great addition, but the guy is 34. I'm not sure how many good years he has left in him. Also, I think he retires in Miami. I can't see Riley dealing him under any circumstances.

would love to have Wade upgraded to someone like PJ Washington. With CPJ making a case for a guard position, suddenly we might have assets like Levert and Okoro available for trades. PJ seems to have been moved to the 2nd unit in Charlotte and the Hornets are playing Ish Smith to run their 2nd unit. Wonder if a Levert for PJ would be in play. This would give JBB options to use either Strus or PJ as a starter, depending on the type of team we play. If teams want play 3 guards, go with Strus or he can use PJ when teams want to go big

Here is PJ handling big Stew, after Isaiah had taken a shot at him earlier in the game because PJ stepped in for a rc

Pj is interesting but he is a step back on defense
I agree, if PJ has to guard small players, but he is a better defender against larger forwards, as he is stronger, more athletic and comes with a 7-2" wingspan. Plus, when Lamelo got hurt last year, he showed some ball handling ability to create some offense. But what this team really needs is some toughness and PJ can add that to the Cavs

I think we might want to give Utah's Fonteccio a look.. right size, decent defense, getting some quality burn with Markk out..
