Trade Rumor(s)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I think that BOS is going to pull the trigger to go for us next year. If they do the trade and get the Lakers pick from PHI next year. How does CHI turn down #3 and that pick next year. Also allows BOS to sign Hayward. Starting 5 of IT / Butler / Hayward / Horford / ??? with Smart / Brown / Crowder / Olynyk / Rozier off the bench. That is a darn good team.

They don't have enough cap space to sign Hayward, trade for Butler and keep Smart, Crowder, Olynyk.

Portland is already in cap hell. While its a wash salary wise, Im not sure they make any moves that force them to add one more body onto the team. Not to mention if they are going to move anyone with a 1st, its Crabbe...however his contract is hideous. Im not sure who would want it.

Brooklyn. They signed him to an offer sheet last season. Although I believe according to the CBA Crabbe cannot be traded to BKN until a full year after the day he signed the offer sheet. I remember reading that about Tyler Johnson who they also signed to an offer sheet.

At this point I think we will trade Derron Williams for a top hat for Dan Gilbert as he says "I did it mother fuckers" Then does nothing else for the trade and then move on from there.

Given their lack of picks, I could see them trying to not gift Boston another top 5 pick.

While I think TT is our most likely trade asset, he is a lot better than Ed Davis. Not equivalent at all. Also TT contact is 16 million. He can bring back a pretty good player if coupled with cedi or a pick.

Boston says to Chicago "heres Jae Crowder, Marcus Smart, next year's Brooklyn pick, and whatever else Philly gives us," how do the Bulls turn that down? And that's with them keeping the #3 pick AND having space to go after Hayward. This is a potential problemo.

I'm visiting my Grandson in Minneapolis this month and I wake up this morning listening to Radio Sport guys on 1130 talking about a possible trade they have heard about Kevin Love going back to Minnesota Timberwolves. I'm not sure if this is just a local rumor or if it has broken out Nationally yet, but it sure sounded like they were breaking it open just now. I listen carefully so I'm pretty sure I wrote it down correctly, although I didn't catch the start of their conversation.

According to these fellas, which I'm sorry I didn't catch their names but it's 1130 on the dial, the Timberwolves are open to being the 3rd team to help facilitate a Knicks/Cavs deal involving Anthony being moved to Cleveland.

Cavs would get Carmelo Anthony from Knicks and Tyus Jones from Timberwolves.

Knicks would get Rubio plus Timberwolves 7th pick in this years draft.

Timberwolves would get Kevin Love.

These guys went on to say Phil Jackson does not want Love because they have Porzingas and Lebron wants Anthony. So these teams need a 3rd team to make it happen. They believe this is a real thing that is being discussed per their sources. They finished this discussion by stating, per their sources, that Twolves can absorb Love's contract at this time, this offseason, and Cavs are determined to gain a ball handler in this deal. Knicks won't do a deal with Cavs and Anthony without receiving a 1st Round pick back.

Anyways, I thought I would put it on here before I forgot what was discussed on this particular radio program.

I forgot to mention that these guys also stated this deal won't happen until after July 1st having to do something with Cavs not having to absorb Anthony's trade kicker and Timberwolves would also be picking 7th on draft night for the Knicks. Picking the player Knicks would want to complete the transaction after July 1st for the 3 teams involved. Actually, they stated the deal won't get done until 30 days after the draft. Supposedly Anthony knows Lebron is working on his behalf for him to get to the Cavs.

Maybe those guys are silly but just like the case of Cavs needing to give up Wiggins to obtain Kevin Love once it's known what Lebron wants the Cavs lose leverage.

I argued here a few years ago that getting Love was the right move and it would need to involve Wiggins to get it done.

I'm not so sure Twolves are the right 3rd team for this deal because I don't believe Love is Thibs kind of guy. But there is also no way in hell the Cavs get Anthony, or any other potential add-on to the core of Irving & Lebron, without giving up Kevin Love.

Everyone understands we won't be getting any Top Line Player without giving up our only true real asset in Kevin Love, right?

Carmelo Anthony isn't a "top line" player and the Cavs would (deservedly) be the laughing stock of the league if they traded Love for him. It's not happening and I would put no stock in what people in Minneapolis are saying regarding professional basketball, no offense.

Grandson just told me it was Trent Tucker on 100.3FM in Minneapolis who just spoke on his sources. Grandson reminded me it was Tucker who said Flip wasn't going to deal Love to Cavs without Wiggins coming back to Minnesota because Flip knew he had leverage because the word was out Lebron wanted Love

If we want to have a chance at keeping Lebron past next year we are going to have to add one of his friends on this team for 2018.

The whole NBA was privy to the details.

Fuck Trent Tucker.
