Trade Rumor(s)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Stop this. You have no idea what James wants

We have went over, AT LENGTH, all of the things you are talking about now. I suggest you go look at the Melo safari and stop the asinine suggestion that we are giving up Love for Melo. It's not happening
Hey, just an FYI... we're also giving up Kyrie for Rubio and LeBron for Lavine cuz those deals make sense for both teams. Gives the Wolves some decent veterans to teach their young guys, and it allows the Cavs to get the defensive minded guard they've been looking for and it helps them get younger by switching out a soon-to-be 33-year old LeBron for the 22 year-old Lavine.

Celtics have enough shit now that they could almost call their target and trade for him. Maybe Butler is selling low. Sign Hayward and then call up New Orleans and offer the farm, number 3, both of those picks next year, Brown.

Ok, so this trade is gonna happen between Boston and Philly.

So if Boston offers up Marcus Smart, Jae Crowder, next year's Nets pick and this Lakers pick they're gonna get from Philly, that's two very likely lottery picks and two young, decent players on cheap contracts. The Bulls can't so no, right? And they get to keep this years #3 overall pick.

Hell, is that actually more than they have to offer? Point is, I don't see how the Bulls could pass up that deal and it still allows Boston to keep Jaylen Brown and this #3 pick this year. They might be able to do it for less than that.

That team then becomes Thomas, Horford, Butler, Bradley, with Brown still on the team and whoever they take at number 3.

That would put them around 77 million in salary, if my math is correct. They are set to pay somewhere around 70 million in salaries next year without the trade. Swapping out Smart and Crowder for Butler takes that to around 77. There are holds and whatnot, but it wouldn't be that hard for them to keep that room around 30 million to chase Hayward.
Boston has me concerned a bit. If they make the right moves they might be in position to be stronger than he Cavs considering I don't think we can make any major moves with our cap situation. We might have to stand pat pretty much which might not be a good thing

Call New Orleans for what, Rich?

Yes, this is all correct... They very well could add both Butler and Hayward this offseason.

They have next years unprotected Brooklyn AND Lakers pick now. Those are potentially the two worst teams in the league.

Just think on that and all the things you might be able to get for it if they were so inclined.

Thought so. You're out of your mind.

You've been so spot on about Boston the last year, I see no reason why you wouldn't be right now!

Just go with me here, lets New Orleans isn't good by early February. DeMarcus Cousins isn't signed, and is a free agent next summer.

Now normally I would say Anthony Davis is basically untouchable. But let's also, for the sake of argument, say that both Brooklyn and the Lakers are at the bottom of the league, and here comes Boston, offering me both picks, Jaylen Brown, and whoever they take at number 3 this year.

Yea, I think New Orleans has to listen to that.

I called them pretenders, which they have been. I've called them our biggest threat in the future of the East for years now, which I still believe to be true. Although, maybe that is Philly now..or Milwaukee?

Anyway, you're getting way too excited about this trade.

Way, way too excited.

Going to be weird with an Eastern Conference that actually has other legitimate contenders.

It was funny listening to people take Boston, Toronto, and Washington serious this year.

Next year though, there might be an actual riveting EC playoff race.
