Worried that unseasonable weather would prevent the field in Cleveland from being ready this week, baseball moved the Indians' series against the Los Angeles Angels from Jacobs Field to Milwaukee's Miller Park, which has a roof.

Snowy conditions wreaked havoc with the planned four-game Mariners-Indians series at Jacobs Field.

Cold and wet weather wiped out the Seattle Mariners and the Cleveland Indians for the fourth straight day, causing the teams to postpone Monday's scheduled doubleheader.

I hope Grady doesn't opbtain any sort of Milwaukee defects being in this less than suitable field/state..

That is hands-down the dumbest thing I've ever heard... now we lose home games because of this??? Great idea by MLB  Why wouldn't they just move the series to Anaheim and then give us one of the two scheduled series in Anaheim later this season??? I'm baffled... but then again, it's Bud Selig, aka Captain Clueless.

I wonder if Selig and his Milwaukee ties had anything to do with this....

On a related note, wasn't the movie "Major League" filmed in Milwaukee?

I bet we get a better attendance for this series than the Brewers get all season :chuckles:

This is total bs. Giving up home games is stupid and the Tribe must be pretty eager to just get things going to take this deal. There is zero upside for us.

What a bunch of morons running baseball.

back in my day, we played in 8 inches of snow, and didnt complain about it we enjoyed it.

Sure was. They filmed it at old County Stadium, cause it sorta looked like Cleveland Muni.

Just a bit outside!

Love that movie, seen it about 20 times.

you guys are bitching like this means anything, you lose a couple home games because of bad weather, tough luck, thats what happens when you live near a freaking lake. they had to get the game in some how and they cant extend the season into october on a count of "lake affect snow." and do people even go to Brewers games? seriously....

**** you. :thumbdown

Turns out the Tribe asked for it. They actually asked to go to California and forfeit their three home games but Anahiem said no because they didn't want to fly out to Boston after....

Heard the Tribe sold 4000 tickets, not bad for a game out of state.

Got screwed on a win already and lose a series of home games. Not bad for the first week.

LOL, I'd like to see what the reaction would be if this happened to the Red Sox or Yanks. There'd be round the clock coverage on SportsCenter and ESPNNews... rivaling the coverage of Dice-K warming up in spring training or Jeter/A-Rod making out or fighting, or whatever they're doing.

It's hilarious the Red Sox Yankee rivalry is the least cared about rivalry in sports..both fan bases are so self absorbed it's sickening.

Two teams in a salary capless sport overpaying for juicers..gotta love it.

When the Sox/Yanks series is on ESPN every non Boston/New York fan goes..."ugh sonofabitch" and hands the remote to the wife..
