Tribe Series In Milwaukee

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Maybe so, but both teams have some of the biggest fan bases in pro sports, Red Sox, Yanks, Cubs and for Football, the Packers all have huge followings.

And no, i wouldn't care if the game was moved, id just be happy that i can watch my team play again. There are so many games, that this is almost not even important.

I disagree - division races and wild cards are usually decided by only a few games. Three games could make a difference. Although home field is not a huge advantage in baseball the Tribe is certainly at a disadvantage. Instead of a normal schedule they had to sit for three days, then fly to a National League park where they are supposed to be the "home" team. It's just a dumb solution and taking away any team's home games is not fair. I would even argue the same if this happened to the mighty Red Sox or Yankees.

They got to get the games in somehow, schedulers cant anticipate snow in April, this isnt college basketball, or the NBA where going to the Brewers Stadium is a huge intimidation factor. Like you were playing at Arco Arena or something.

That's not what I'm saying... the point is they are being taken out of their comfort zone. To me it was a rushed decision on the part of MLB. They could have played yesterday at Jacobs Field, assuming the snow was cleared off. The temps were fine and it was sunny all day. They could definitely play there this week too, no more snow and temps are up. And they could have finished the opener on Friday, I was there.

I am a little thrown off by cancelling yesterday too.

I live about five minutes from the Jake. It was 40 something and there wasn't any snow. Not ideal, but......

It's hilarious the Red Sox Yankee rivalry is the least cared about rivalry in sports..both fan bases are so self absorbed it's sickening.

Two teams in a salary capless sport overpaying for juicers..gotta love it.

When the Sox/Yanks series is on ESPN every non Boston/New York fan goes..."ugh sonofabitch" and hands the remote to the wife..

No everybody loves it, thats why we get to see everygame. :thumbdown

I wonder if Selig and his Milwaukee ties had anything to do with this....

On a related note, wasn't the movie "Major League" filmed in Milwaukee?

Yes it was, I find this very creepy. Before the season started the Indians planned a "Rick Vaughn" glasses give away at the start of the Indians ANgels Series to coincide with the re release of " Major League", which was filmed in Milwaukee.

,and cue the creepy music.

Damn I think there is a sellout tonight I didn't see an empty seat...they sold 12k tickets for the series 4k for todays game and there's way more people there.

Blake looks at 3 strikes in a row with 2 runners on and 1 out without even swinging...I hate that worthless piece of shit..

They weren't planning on openning the upper decks but they had to b/c of the flash crowd.

Blake just went yard.
The fans are really into the game.

Obviously I didn't like the decision to play in Milwaukee... but I was pleasantly surprised by the crowd. They seemed into the game and vocal. Nice win with Shoppach throwing out Aybar to end it too.

Worthless huh? Im glad I dont post garbage like this on message boards.

Yeah when you have a cleanup hitter that can't cleanup that's what I consider worthless..

It'd be one thing if this has been a problem for a year..maybe two..but we're on Year 3 of the Casey Blake sucking with RISP..

Down by one in the 5th. Let's get some timely hitting!

How many times in one game can you announce that Billy Joel will be throwing out the first pitch? My count is 3 in 5 innings.

Was anybody else loving the crowds at MIL?

That slow down, then speed up wave that they have done in both games has been pretty fun to watch. They have even begun to reverse it, and having a little fun with it. Hopefully it will return to Cleveland with us.

Anyone know if anyone else does the speed/slow wave?

Jeez Travis Hafner 3 run shot that nearly made it back to Cleveland...wow if someone gets a highlight of that feel free to post..
