Well, at least he gets to rest his knee.

Eh, 2 more games...all we really need from everybody is 2 more wins and then we can shut the starters down until the playoffs with the 1-seed wrapped up.

I'd play him. We're going to "acclimate" Sanders by throwing him into a fierce battle for the top spot in the East?

He didnt travel, i highly doubt Tristan plays.

I think Tristan should punk Lebron and have Kloe go to the game even though he might not be there.

As long as he's back by the playoffs the rest might do him some good.

Perfect scenario, Lue will have to play Sanders and than hopefully he'll see him blocking some shots and than makes him a steady part of the rotation, I'm hopeful this could be a blessing in disguise

I think TT not being out makes the Boston game really, really difficult to win. I know TT has become a favorite whipping boy and everyone fetishizes Sanders, but TT is one of our only + defenders and by far our best screen setter. Also losing out on extra possessions.

For the record, Tristan hasn’t been ruled out for tonight’s game yet.

yeah we are so ridiculously thin in the frontcourt that we lose the ability to do basic stuff as soon as one front court player goes down. If Sanders can function at a passable level then Lebron and Love can help us keep up on the rebounding and Lebron can do some interior defense, but who will set screens?

True, probably won't happen (Sanders thrown into the fire).

But with the main alternative possibly being Frye, might not be a bad move.

Me too.

TT was banged up and exhausted.. will give him some much needed time to rest and heal.
It also means Sanders has to play. Maybe even more than expected. But this will be the best way of getting back into it as fast as possible.

People overrate the issues Larry will have getting back to his old form. His conditioning is likley fine because we dont expect him to play 30+ Minutes every night right away..
And he already played 25+ Minutes on back to backs with Canton.
And while he will still need time to get his timing back etc he hasnt lost his size and seemingly not his athletism.. He will alter and Block shots by just his presense. He will propably foul alot due to bad timing but i can live with that.

If all goes well TT will be back to his usual self and Larry will be able to play 15-25 Minutes in the Playoffs.

Plus TT dominating their front line for rebounds is frankly one of our biggest advantages against the Celtics.

Don't want to miss the forest for the trees but we can get the 1-seed wrapped up and then finally allow some prolonged rest for our starters after a few days. Just get it done.

With that said, we literally have nothing to lose tossing Sanders out there to absorb some minutes if TT can't play.

Even though TT ought to get some rest my feeling is the team will send him to Boston and let him play to keep his streak going. I'd like to see Sanders in there too, to see what we got to a degree.

I still think Sanders would benefit from another 3 weeks or so of conditioning/acclamation to the team, but his conditioning does seem fairly good and all he has to do is guard the rim and rebound, at least for now.

Sanders has been around now for 3 weeks. I would give him until 6 weeks, given he has no setbacks, to really round into form.

At that point, he still likely won't know the offense or things like that. But I think his timing and conditioning should be in good shape then.

Well for this game at least the Celtics have no bangers down low. This is actually one team that Channing can play against and not be a complete defensive liability with the crew of Johnson, Olynyk, Zeller and Horford being both as soft as him.
