Tristan Thompson

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I'm more concerned about Golden State. If he can't shoot free throws or make layups properly, they're going to hack him all game and keep the game in check.

Look for Draymond to spend a lot of time trying to grab his thumb and twist it.

Yeah, he was fine in the regular season. He was tearing it up in the game Kyrie dropped 55.

My concern with TT is how will it impact his ability to catch, rebound, and make passed out of the pnr. Also, I know people are talking about how it's a good thing he used to shoot left handed, but his left hand is shit. There's a reason he's almost exclusively righty on his floater.

His left hook is pretty good, but yeah.

Just don't rush him back, we'll be fine without him probably even in the 1st round

Tristan is almost for sure going to play in the first round, given all reports thus far. "If it was a playoff game we could have braced it up and he could have played".

Now, I don't think there's any need to.play him in the rest of the regular season. We can easily go 2-2 without him. Millsap isn't even playing tonight.

That will be plenty of time to get the swelling down, the brace on, and enough practice in the brace so he isn't completely foreign to how it feels when he plays. And im sure they will manage the pain just fine. And then hopefully a quick first round if we can manage another sweep will allow him a little bit extra rest going into round 2.

But for all the people talking about "we don't need him until round 2/3/finals/whatever...", He's going to be out there in game 1, round 1, I'd bet good money on it.

Based on his interaction with numerous players groin areas in the past few years, I think a Sit and Spin is far more likely.

Lue said tonight he doesn't know if Tristan would be able to play had it been a playoff game, and that he wants to get him a couple of games before the playoffs start.

Yes, because 450+ consecutive games is not enough :D

We wouldn't want him to lose that sweet shooting stroke, would we?

Gotta be able to catch a Lebron bullet rolling to the hoop tho, catching and securing rebounds with other huge guys swiping at the ball... I'll admit I'm mildly concerned about it.

Since Tristan has no offensive game to speak of, definitely no reason to play him before the playoffs.

Wow--I had no idea TT's thumb injury was so serious until reading through this thread just now.

I, too, am worried that the Liggins waiving (and rumored Andy signing) is a sign that the Cavs are concerned about TT's health moving into the Playoffs.

Hopefully not. Would love some good news soon...

Those were my exact thoughts as well.
Hopefully Tristan fully recovers before ECF's
