Tristan Thompson

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
He is really interesting because he is much more valuable to a contending team than one that doesn't win very many games.

He gets you extra possessions, but if your team regularly gets beat by other teams, how valuable is that? He is really good defender, but only if others are doing their job. He is not a one man wrecking crew.

When you see him giving you that extra edge, it is so important in the finals or playoffs in general, but what would a middling team care about that?

Yeah he's very similar to guys like Biyombo who caused havoc against us last year (and outplayed JV on TO in the playoffs) but is an afterthought in Orlando.

Wouldn't expect anything else from the second coming of AC Green (except the virgin part)

You can hear her throat crack from thirst through that report.

Even if I did find her attractive, I'd immediately and thoroughly be repulsed and need to break it off then and there.

Don't do it TT. This women has something up her sleeve.

I really hate to do this as I think Tristan is a glue guy, but in no way will Tristan be Rodman. Rodman is the greatest rebounder of all time, both eye test and statistics. His rebound percentage is almost 25%, ie 1 out of 4 rebounds when he is on the court would go to him. That is an insanely high number.

How do they compare at age 26?

Tristan has long been my favorite Cavalier so I probably get more upset than I should when people trash him after a meaningless regular season game (most of the time he even plays WELL in the regular season, but it'll be a game where we score a small amount of points and TT will be 2-7 or something and people will lash out that he has no offensive talent as if that is even close to his role)

Anyway, the words overpaid and Tristan Thompson do NOT go together. Tristan might honestly have one of the BEST non rookie deals in the NBA right now. Another postseason where he absolutely feasts on opposing front courts and breaks another teams will. He's getting MUCH better at finishing around the rim. He is strong as a fucking ox

He never misses games. The guy is as dependeble as they come. And the only time his thread gets bumped in the regular season is when people tell him who he shouldn't be dating or saying that he sucks.

I know the same shit will happen next year, but this is 3 straight playoffs where TT has been absolutely phenomenal. He should get significantly more respect for what he does. And people should get over that he dates a damn kardashian. He just had his best season as a pro and is destroying teams again int he playoffs. There's no fucking curse

Thats a bit tricky because Dennis came into the NBA at 25. So through 26 Dennis was only in his second year. He averaged 9.1 PPG and 6.6 RPG in 21 MPG.

If you look at "though their first 6 Seasons" Rodman is at 9 PPG and 10.6 RPG .. very comparable to TT. He was a better defensive Rebounder though. But in terms of offensive Rebounding and Scoring of those and his overall energy they are comparable

Wasn't Rodman a SF in Detroit?

Wasn't Rodman a SF in Detroit?
Yes
Scored mostly when on the break.
As a sf he was a lockdown perimeter defender.
The combo of he and Dumars really made Michael Jordan work for anything he got scoring wise. (Well that and very physical play)

Rodman didn't turn into the rebounding demon power forward until later in his Detroit tenure. That's when his rebounding numbers started to take off.
