Definitely wish the Cavs would've gotten rid of TT for Melo.

Now that we have Wade (or, it at least appears that we will), I'd rather have TT for his defense and rebounding. I'm hoping that he'll have a bounce back year after his showing in the finals.

Overall, I think we're about as well-rounded as we've been since LBJ has returned. But, we also have lots of options for putting together trades at the deadline if things are not fitting together well.

I feel really good about our roster.

Look, he's not a floor spacer in the traditional sense. The primary reason he can spread the floor is because of his offensive rebounding, forcing his man to either stay attached or lose an extra possession.

What's more difficult for us is while he has that high motor, he lacks a high b-ball IQ. Which means he can't thread the needle with pocket passes to cutting teammates nor can he figure out how (on the offensive end) to maximize effectiveness from his position (like working from the elbow of the baseline). For example, Ben Wallace also knew he couldn't shoot worth a lick at some point, but he learned how to set up his teammates anywhere on the floor (besides pick and roll).

But (again), what he already can do will help regardless of other skills... because hustling, 50-50 balls, and energy regardless of the other players will still go a long way when there's already plenty of talented teammates to work with. Whatever he can add (if anything) would be gravy.

I've just never been a fan of TT to the point where I'd not trade him for a star in Melo. I think getting Melo and still getting Wade would've made the Cavs the team to beat with all their options.

IT, Wade, Bron, Melo and Love? Seriously. This lineup would've been insane. Without losing any stretching.

I don't know. I just wish Koby would've pulled the trigger. Hopefully TT proves me wrong, but I doubt it.

I feel like the Cavs have more than enough quality players to fill in at the 3 and the 4. And they have scoring in spades from basically all positions, which makes Melo somewhat redundant. But they really have nobody else that brings what Tristan Thompson does. Plus the Cavs are much less deep at the center position. I think the Cavs were wise not to trade Tristan for Melo.

Haven't gotten your views on Melo's departure btw. Happy/sad? What are your thoughts on the Knicks' future? Predictions for this year? Champs barring injuries?

His fg% on the short jumper was pretty good last year if I remember correctly. He needs to nail that like Andy used to and it will do wonders for him.

Also agree that we are so thin at C, we have to hang onto Tristan or get someone else. I liked the Robin Lopez idea.

That lineup would give up 150 points a game.
