Shut the hell up with this "we had to take a big man and only Faried is better" logic. Be objective.

This team was a blank puzzle when we were on the clock for that draft. We had just selected Kyrie and that was all we had. Everyone other than Kyrie, Derrick Williams and Enes Kanter was available to us. You cant glorify Grant for taking Dion when everyone originally projected him to be 20-24th and then excuse him for passing on players who everyone projected to go just as late but are playing great.

Everyone in that draft was available after the first 3, and its tough when you watch Tristan Thompson play, who we reached for just as easily as we could have reached for Faried, Klay Thompson or anyone else who is has a basketball IQ.

The guy is a can. I see this hope from a majority that some light will go on, and even once it does, he will be a marginal PF with a easily replaceable skillset.

Not looking good. But hey, we've got nothing but time.

The night he was drafted I said he was Michael Cage in his prime at best and if we were lucky, he could scratch the surface of Tyrone Hill. But we would need a certain kind of "nasty" to develop within him in order for him to be that guy.

Today, as he just hits his prime, I would give anything in the world for all of his minutes to be given to the corpse of Kendrick Perkins as we start this playoff run.

I mean that seriously. I've been begging for Perk to be brought on for the playoffs all season. It's what was SORELY missing in last years finals. David West punked Tristan in last years finals, and the soft perimeter players of the Dubs started feeling themselves as a result.

At least big Perk will be a presence and make people think twice about getting dirty with us.

I'm begging for him to be removed from the rotation altogether.

ehh. i wouldn't go that far, if u familiar with him and Sharon Reid (news anchor for Cleveland before he went to Miami). he's done a good job in keeping her quiet.

I have not heard this one - live under a rock, I know - but while it is an open secret that LeBron is LeHallPass, that's all it generally is, an open secret.

The point is he would never end up in a Tristan let alone Lamar Odom or Kobe Bryant type situation where these things eat into his on-court play, even if IMHO Kobe was definitely innocent of the criminal charges.

Heidi Hoback/Rachel Bush/Stacey Klein are the few other times I can think of where he's even crossed past the "open secret" threshold, and none of those situations are even close to what we're dealing with there. I think Savannah has always had an understanding that that sort of thing was going to happen from time to time.

Which is weird because, while TT was a reach, he was also a SIGNIFICANT reason the team made the finals in 2015, won in 2016 and played a key role in making it there again last year.

Bennett was a complete and total waste of a pick, maybe the worst #1 pick of all time.
